At this rate we'll have a shot at ryan Mallett from Arkansas as our new QBOTF. Too many holes on defense with Robinson and Porter over the hill in one game.Washington & williams a year away and DA is not fixable.
Unfortunately due to some poor offseason decisions I think that even if Locker or Mallet were available the Cards would have to pass to fix the horrendous Oline, get a playmaker at LB or maybe even get some player for the secondary. Sound familiar? They are only the same positions this team has been trying to address since 2002. Pathetic. I know they don't like to make noise in FA, but they are going to need to this year.

Locker is terrible!!! DA might be better in the accuracy dept than Jake. Wayyyyyyy overhyped because of his physical skills.

Wiz will not play 2011 (if there is one) without a quality QB...I see McNabb in our future.

Sad thing is they'd probably take our OSU boy,Pryor. He makes DA look like Dan Marino when it comes to passing the ball. He hit 16 in a row this weekend. I didn't think that was possible in a 11-0 drill.

I can live with that.....would give us 3 years to find his replacement.

Didn't McNabb want to go there?

It may be time to start looking for a new starting QB. If Leinart lost the locker room without even playing......than Derek is toast.

Brooks Bollinger
Tim Rattay
Daunte Culpepper
Josh McCown

We could also grab Jeff George. Anyone else out there? Maybe trade for Rudy Carpenter. Sadly that would be an upgrade.

If ever there was a team loss this was it. The entire team was lousy from start to end. I will include the coaches in that also. Atlanta ran on us at will. They passed on us at will. We had way to many penalaties. This game was over after our kickoff return for a TD was called back.

Speaking of QB's Brett Favre through 4 interceptions and fumbled the ball in the endzone. Dallas who was supposed to go to the superbowl lost there second game in a row to the lowly Bears who were supposed to be bottom feeders but behind J. Cutler led to the Cowboys defeat at their own home. Our QB was not effective as he was be pounded to death by the rush. He is lucky not to be in the hospital.

A wierd basball play today. The Cubs right fielder Colvin was on 3rd. The batter hit a ball down the right field line and the bat broke into. Tyler Colvin, a 20 home run rookie who was trotting home was looking at the ball over his shoulder and the broken bat speared him in the chest near the heart. He was bleeding badly as the broken bat was very sharp and it hit him with the point straight on. I guess he was lucky it did not hit him in the throat or face. He was taken to the hospital and I never heard the results but you could look at his face and see he was in some serious pain. He did come on in to score.

Things to sign this week

A new offensive line
A new defense
A new QB

We also need to get Wells back in the lineup. Hightower ran with passion but without Wells we are less of a threat. The coach wants us to be a running team but so far we are not. This was as ugly a game as I have seen in some years. Just think we won the West two years in a row. Losing Kurt Warner hurts more than I even guessed. The GM was rather stupid going into an NFL season with only a rookie at backup. I can think of not better word than stupid.

Not Fair as you KNOW I'm OHIO STATE ALUM. and man did he play all World out of his mind against another level of kids. Now play that way against Michigan&Michigan St.Shocked at the Iowa loss as Arizona looked like monsters. You know I loved the "REDOUT".

Don't think Whiz would take Pryor over Mallett even if or when he wins the Heisman as we all thought he would before he put our jersey on.Mallett needs to prove some toughness as I think Arkansas plays Bama this next week and will be crushed. Its just not fair to have Ingram and Trent Richardson who plays for Escambia High in Pensaola right near me and Emmitt Smiths high School.

With those two RB's on the same team behind that offensive line I see OHIO STATE AND BAMA in the National Championship game.I don't think Arkansas' defense to slow BAMA down from scoring and Mallett will see his biggest challenge before he goes pro next season.Love his height and release point and accuracy.

I think the Rams did very well with Sam Bradford, but have no recievers or offensive line for him to stand in a pocket with. The Rams need to be glad he throws well on the rollout.

Gradkowski replaced Campbell at halftime and energized the Raiders over the Rams. The raiders will be energized coming into Glendale next week.Coming off a win at home.

Then ancient Charlie Batch came in and won the game for the Steelers as they lost qb Dixon and I'm sure will resign big qb they released early last week.

We are in DEEP dookie this year as I see Whiz sticking with DA till all efforts are exhausted with him.:bang:

All the QB's you are talking about are garbage.. There is a reason why they are not playing.

THe only chance is to get Kurt to stop dancing with that hot women on dancing with the stars..

Some former garbage QB's played well today. Check out the Bears QB. Kurt was once considered almost garbage when we signed him.

I hope not because I don't see this team winning more than 3 games with DA as the starter.

Faneca, Brown, and Keith are all playing terrible football right now..

Brown needs to go back to RT, Bridges and Hadnot should be inserted..

Alan Faneca is as bad as advertised as a pass blocker

Okay, so we've had a few consistent issues surrounding this team for awhile now. At least we've always managed to have a great defensive coordinator and a great play caller on staff to cover up some of those problems. Oh wait, I just remembered I'm a Cards fan. Never mind.

Hey Doug, I'm all OSU myself.Didn't you step in and replace John Hicks? I used to date his daughter awhile back . I'm not sold on Ryan Mallet as a pro. I really like his arm but I heard a good comparison on the radio today of Mallet to Dan McGwire in that they may be too big at 6'7, and not able to move around enough, to become good NFL QB's.

Hey man, Cutler is 2-0. Say what you like about him.;) I would take him over a lot of QBs in this league. If he was on the Cards, we would relish it in the endzone.

PS... da bears

Really is there any QB out there who could really fill our needs other than KURT unretire...?? If I was Coach Whiz I would be on my CellPhone on my knees begging Kurt to come back right now.

You can see Ryan Mallet on national tv this weekend as #10 Arkansas plays #1 Alabama. Mallet really has a canon arm and is 6'7" and 234 lbs. He is also mobile. In his first three games he is averaging around 380 yds. He had around 386 against Georgia and had over 400 against a lesser team. Alabama has a monster running game and will be favored by 7-10 points I would think. Arkansas does not have a good running game but has some future pro receivers worth watching. Mallet set some SEC records last year as a sophomore. Last week against Georgia who is suppose to contend for the title in their division Mallet and Arkansas got the ball about 70 yds from the goal line with around 1 1/2 minutes to play. He hit three straight passes to score the winning TD with 6 seconds remaining. He is a stand-up pocket passer but can move. He can fire from sideline to sideline with accuracy and some real heat. Stopping the Alabama running game is almost impossible with that great RB who almost won the Heisman last year. He is healthy and a real force and our defense is good but not that good, I do not think. Hopefully the home game will work in our favor as the stadium will be packed and loud. Both teams are 3-0.
