btw -- I was watching yesterday, and realized to my great excitement -- I SKIED part of that trail!!! Well, I pretty much ass-skied the part I recognized -- but many years back when I was trying to learn cross-country skiing with a lovely pair of Norwegian racing skiis I had no business strapping to my boots (end-of-season sale idiocy) and we were up at Whistler for a week (during the winter games, actually) I went out on the demanding, really beautiful cross-country route several times a day. I remember swooping down a particular curving hill successfully (once) which was absolutely a thrilling feeling, although mostly I crashed and crashed trying to repeat.

Anyhow, VERY cool to see yesterday.
