USC fans are furious. My guess is he's a stop gap until the NCAA problems are over and then they make another run at Dixon.
He's a clean coach which they need, but not the type of personality that can recruit good players to a dead program.
Theus claims he pulled his name out of consideration, nobody believes him. Dixon and Kruger turned them down, Boylen supposedly wasn't all that interested.
Mixed bag he won't get them on probation again, but unless he mellowed a lot he won't be a long term guy.
