It's time to bring another trophy back to Heritage Hall. On Saturday, USC men's track and field won the NCAA indoor national championship.

The national championship is the Trojans' 137th across all sports. That is third amongst all schools in the country—only Stanford and UCLA have more.

USC narrowly beat out second place Auburn to claim the crown. Arkansas finished in third, Oklahoma State in fourth, and Georgia in fifth.

It was the first national title—indoor or outdoor—for the men's program since 1976. The women's program had experienced more recent success, winning the outdoor national championship in 2021. USC's storied history at the Olympic Games goes hand in hand with track and field success. This latest achievement adds to the school's rich legacy on the track.

USC fans are hoping that this will not be the last national title that the Trojans win this spring. The women's basketball team will open March Madness next weekend with a legitimate shot to win it all.
