To be fair, I am reading the book by Jose Canseco's ex wife Jessie right now so I sort of have steroids on the brain. But Davis does strike me as a guy you have to be somewhat curious about.

I read a story that said he was 215 pounds as a senior in HS, 225 his freshman year at Maryland. 35 pounds in 4 years is certainly not out of the realm of being legit and he's reportedly an absolute gym rat. also wonder how long a 250 pound guy can retain that speed but he was that fast when he signed with Maryland and he still is now so that is impressive. Some guys are naturally that gifted, he certainly could be one of them.

We were booing him less for his injury (although that forced him to walk by us to the lockerroom) and more for his preening and flexing at our endzone when he scored. I plan on booing/yelling at this guy for the next 10 years.

Personally, I am sure he is a cool guy and would love to have him on my team.

I'm the same way. I refuse to cheer when an opposing team's player is hurt. This is their livelyhood. after all.

They said he had a hip injury but he came back of course. Apparently his hip affected his hands later in the game.

I think Vernon Davis will be a decent te in this league he has decent but not great hands but he has blazing speed which is always a good thing. I hate to say it but Vernon Davis kept me in a fantasy football game with that td pass he caugh heh glad it was the only one he did catch though. I didnt like the way he was taunting the fans as he was heading into the locker room midway through the game though really pissed me off.

I didn't see the taunting incident, but he's what, 22 years old? Guys like that are excitable. But he should know better than to mess with fans.

On the field I have to disagree - he looks like he has all the tools to be a monster. He's fast as hell and probably the best open-field runner since Boldin came into the league.
