It sure sounds like Blake has really taken control of this offense. Your report on Blake and Freddie Jones is exactly what I predicted in my "Going Deep" article I wrote a couple of weeks ago. Our QB finally using his TE, what a concept!

Rhett Nelson has quickly become a favorite of mine. You have to love an underdog and he sounds like a great kid. If he can be productive on special teams then I think he has a good shot to make this team.

Great job! Articles like this make my day :D.

It has more of a personal appeal, unlike the "proffessional" reporters.

Primo!

I feel as though I was actually there (well...everything but the dry heat).

I want to augment what Brighteyes said about players committing to the team concept.

I come from this little backwoods part of the country called New Jersey. We have this little...er...hockey team called the Devils.

Other than maybe their goalie and their captain, none of their players come close to being called "superstars." Few if any will win any personal awards.

But they were superb playing within a system. No me-guys. No huge egos.

All that a bunch of lunchpail unknowns with names like Madden, Pandolfo, Daneyko, Marshall, Friesen, Langenbrunner and Rupp did - was go out and get themselves a Stanley Cup.

(And it's not the first time the Devils have followed the same pattern over the past decade). Know what I'm sayin'?

In some ways this years' team could be compared to the Patriots 2 years ago. Changed the big name big money QB, signed some FA's nobody got thrilled about, built a TEAM, and won.

Now I don't think our defense is that good yet and with all the changes on offense it's going to be tough to contend this year but if we do after the season that's what everyone will be writing about.

After week 2 two years ago a lot of people thought the Pats were the worst team in football.

If that Bears team of two years ago could go 13-3, anything can happen. That was a team that jelled WAY above their actual talent level.

Another excellent job Jo. I always enjoy your insight on this team and the entire staff. It is nice to always see thing through rose colored glasses.
