It looked like Wolfley's eyes were going to pop out of his head.

Thanks for the post. In the shadow of yesterday's news, I can still see Hood falling down into the legs of the receiver bringing him down also. If a flag had been thrown I would have felt seriously ill at that moment-instead-exhilaration.

Of course I'm going to be bias as a Cardinal fan, but Dave Pasch and Ron Wolfley are the best in the league. Dave moreso than Ron.

I seriously wish there was a way to get their radio feeds to time perfectly with the TV games (which is difficult because most of the time, radio comes through faster).

I hear ya, Tree!

I've tried a couple of times to listen to Pasch and Wolfley when watching the game, but don't like hearing the call ahead of seeing it on the tube.

Wasn't home that day and I had to listen to the last 5 mins of the game on the radio while driving. I can't forget the commentary on the last touch down and this incomplete pass.

Other audio highlights from this game would be awesome

Quite a Contrast From the National TV Call

I watched the clip less than 12 hours after I watched the NFL Network replay of Cards - Philly.

Aikman* (who seemed to adopt a condescending attitude toward the Cardinals and never passed up the opportunity for a slight dig) spun the play as an interference no-call.

(In all fairness, you could see the Philly receiver slip as he dove for the ball and the Cardinal defender (Brown?) appear to dive -either a split-second earlier or simultanously - behind him. He either barely tapped the leg of the wideout as both of them dove or he missed the leg altogether).

To me, the contact appeared insignificant - i.e. contact (if any) didn't appear to cause the receiver to lose his feet.

Whatever the case - it was sure a lot more fun listening to Pasch and Wolf than having to put up with Aikman's gentle whine (which, to me, came across more like spitting in the soup).

* I'm assuming it was Aikman. It sounded like Aikman. But I suppose it could have been some other dude - so I'm covering my bets here.

I believe it wasn't called because the ball hit him in the hands and he still had the opportunity to catch it. That being said and us being the Cards, I'm still shocked it wasn't called PI. Maybe the respect is coming, a little at a time. As for Wolf, look at his expressions. The man bleeds Cardinals REd.
