In 2021 Kyler had one of the best passer ratings in the league with regards to throwing over the middle. So I'm not sure where all of the this Kyler can't hit receivers in the Middle of the Field stuff is coming from.
He went downhill in 2022, but the primary deficiency looks to have been with deep balls moreso than MOF.

At least he improved on those passes to the left flat!

NFL NextGenStats doesn't have a chart for Murray for 2023.

Not sure what difference it makes to his ability to throw on times and hit on the types of routes Marv can run consistently.
You’re clearly not serious here.
He's had TEs he's not been able to hit in the MOF either.
I seem to remember he hit Maxx, Ertz, & McBride this in the MOF plenty of times.
I'm not sure "Kyler needs 6'4" slot receivers to hit them" is a great argument.
Again, you’re not serious here.

I think it’s pretty obvious that anyone in history that has thrown a football would think it’s easier to throw to someone that’s taller than 6 feet than someone that is 5’9. Especially to the middle of the field. That should be obvious to you.

Wow, that's an interesting chart. He Gets his worst passer rating to the left BEHIND THE LOS. How is that possible? Shouldn't the behind LOS passes the easiest to complete?

The actual passer ratings in these red areas are even more depressing than the color. What happened to his deep balls in 2022? He was extremely effective passing deep in 2021.

I really don't want to be a doubter, but every time I see Marv running routes I can't help but wonder if Kyler has the skillset to take advantage.

He's never shown himself to be a good timing guy, or good in the MOF as a bunch of these routes

Thank God that he is not a RB! That first clip there were 7 teammates in position to block down the right sideline, and Rabbit cuts it in to the middle!
I'm sorry, but this post gave me a big laugh. And I mean it. Who else but a Cardinals fan, can see a draftee make an interception, and then complain because he ran like a DB and not a RB. You can't make this stuff up. :)

This means nothing. Its low volumes and likely the few times the O line allowed him to see the field.

These are almost certainly mostly checkdowns rather than designed routes over the middle. It's a shame NGS don't include volumes but then we known Kyler is bottom 5 in the league for MOF passing as a posted the stats recently.

Dude, like 80% of slot receivers in history have been sub 6 foot. Get outta here.

This is, if anything, a generous ranking for a QB that sucked in '22 and played 8 games with a 10/5 TD INT ratio and a 70 PFF grade last year.

To have him over Purdy, Tua and Geno Smith is highly generous considering his recent body of work.

Lot's of hopium in this ranking rather than reality.

I mean, Tua passed for nearly 4700 yards, 29/14 TD ratio and had an 88.4 PFF rating last year.

Simms has always been a huge Kyler stan and he's showing it here.

This isn't an attack on Kyler, he's just done nothing recently to earn being this high.

More like an attack, non attack. Or a non attack, attack. :)

Remember all those WR screens to Rondale that went nowhere? That will cause it.

This is an article from 2023, before the season...and it's their ranking of slot receivers based on where they actually catch the ball and line up. You wanna know what they all have in common? They are taller than 5'9". Playing in the slot isn't position specific. Anyone can line up in the slot...there is definitely something to be said for taller athletic receivers in the slot and going over the middle.
