the only way penny would be on a top 10 list would be as the top 10 worst moves the suns have ever made and then it would be #1.

i wonder where theoff balance rex champman shot against the sonics was. that was almost as good as marbury's shot from last year.

That Rex CHapman shot ended in a loss, otherwise it would have been included I bet. I voted for the Barkely shot over David Robinson. I was sitting in a hotel room in some tiny ass Utah town, on the way to Colorado to visit my then girlfriend's parents in Golden. Barkely hit the shot, we won the game, and I had out of wedlock sex with a girl in a tiny ass town hotel right across the street from a tabernacle, all night long.

I wanted to vote for the Gar Heard shot, but I was only 6 then. The sex after that game wasn't NEARLY as good.

I voted for the same thing--unfortunately, my experience wasn't as fun though... :(

Seriously though, I just thought that the shot over Robinson was the beginning of our rebirth as a team, and our consistency over the following years (even after Barkley was gone) as a competitive team.

I really have to wonder who the hell is putting those lists together - The Cardinals one was a complete joke and to leave off the Game 5 beating we gave the Lakers to officially end Showtime and knock off the number 1 seed to push us to the conference Finals against Portland in 1990 is a joke - as well as leaving off KJ's bucket against Utah in Utah in the final Game 5 of the first round that year. I mean Marbury's shot #2? Over Game 7 vs. the Sonics or the Westy Guarantee - that's ridiculous.

I voted for Westphal's prediction we would beat the Lakers for 2 reasons. 1st, I can't stand the Lakers. 2nd, becuz if we hadn't have won that series then we wouldn't have been able to advance further and further then reach the Finals.

Oh, and one other thing. Since you told us it lasted all night, you didn't need to bother clarifying that it was out of wedlock.

Too much information! The 1993 playoffs had a lot of great moments for the Phoenix Suns. As fun as that team was to watch my favorite Phoenix Suns teams were the pre-Barkley with Kevin Johnson, Tom Chambers, Jeff Hornacek, Dan Majerle, Eddie Johnson , etc.

Another Greatest Moment I thought should have been included...

The trade that brought Kevin Johnson to Phoenix was pretty major.

cannot beat kj's dunk over hakeem, i know we lost that game but that had to be one of the greatest moments in KJ's career.

Are you serious?

Your team's GREATEST MOMENT took place in a year they won more games than anyone else, came into the postseason as a 1 seed and proceeded to need 5 games and OT just to upset an 8 seed in the first round of the playoffs...

How sad is that?

Since I jumped in on this thread, I might as well add a moment to the list.

I have not checked the official list that was linked to on here, so I do not know if this was mentioned.

I would put the signing of Tom Chambers as a free-agent right up there with the "Greatest Suns Moments." It showed the rest of the league that the Suns were going to compete financially as well as on the floor.

1) The comeback against the Lakers was nice, but in the last seconds of game 5 Barkley did not get called for an offensive goaltend on a long Majerle three. If he got called, they would have lost. The three actually looked like it was going to go in.

2) Anyone remember a game vs. the Blazers in 1992 or so where the Suns were down by 1 with 0.5 seconds left? On the out of bounds play, someone threw it in off the backboard and Barkley reached down at the top of the key and flicked in the ball. He beat the clock and they won.

3) Majerle hit a few LONG game winners

4) Of course the Chapman shot was nice. A much better shot, in and of itself, than the Marbs vs. Spurs shot.

4) KJ dunking over Hakeem might be the best posterization ever. He was totally pumped after that shot, but the rest of the team didn't look like they cared and then they lost. I didn't understand it at all.
