Ten athletes from across the High Desert are in the running for the Victorville Chevrolet High School Athlete of the Week.
Daily Press readers can vote for their favorite high school athletes at the newspaper's website.
The poll closes at 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday night.
Here are the choices for the week, based on performances from April 7 to 12:

Nominations must be received for consideration by Sunday morning following that week's games. Anyone can nominate an Athlete of the Week for every varsity sport.

Sports Roundup: Brayden Booth's eighth-inning home run leads Sultana past Oak Hills
- Alex Gamez, Sultana baseball — Gamez helped the Sultans to a pair of victories over Oak Hills last week. Gamez went 3 for 4 with two home runs, four RBIs, and three runs in a 12-8 victory on April 8. Gamez went 2 for 4 with two RBIs, scored a run, and pitched an inning with a strikeout in a 6-5 victory on April 10.
- Brynne Johnson, Apple Valley softball — Johnson went 4 for 4 with two home runs and seven RBIs to lead Apple Valley to a 17-5 victory over Burroughs on April 10.
- Carsyn Leon, Oak Hills softball — Leon began the week by striking out seven batters and allowing one earned run on five hits over six innings as Oak Hills beat Burroughs 14-9 on April 8. Leon struck out five batters and allowed one run on three hits over seven innings in a 6-1 victory over Serrano on April 10.

- Ceonie Turner, Adelanto softball — Turner helped lead the Saints to a pair of victories over Barstow. In an 11-4 victory on April 9, Turner led Adelanto by going 3 for 5 with four RBIs, two runs, and two stolen bases. Turner went 2 for 4 with two RBIs and a run in a 12-11 victory on April 11.
- Christian Aispuro, Adelanto baseball — Aispuro held Barstow to just two hits over seven innings and struck out eight batters in a 2-0 victory on April 11. He also hit a single at the plate.
- Isaiah Reveron, Apple Valley baseball — Reveron helped the Sun Devils to a pair of big victories. Reveron went 2 for 2 with three runs in a 12-1 victory over Serrano on April 8. Reveron powered the offense in a 23-2 victory over Serrano on April 10 as he went 3 for 4 with two home runs, a walk, seven RBIs, three runs, and a stolen base.
- Kamie Costa, Academy of Careers & Exploration softball — Costa drove in nine runs in two victories for the Eagles last week. Costa began the week by going 2 for 3 with five RBIs and two runs in a 22-2 victory over Silver Valley on April 8. Costa went 2 for 2 with two walks, four RBIs, three runs, and a stolen base in a 24-2 victory over Lucerne Valley on April 11.
- Nathaniel Carlson, Academy of Careers & Exploration golf — Carlson had strong performances in two Cross Valley League matches. On April 8, Carlson shot a 34, tied with teammate Jacob Hutchinson, on the east course at Silver Lakes Country Club as the Eagles shot for a combined score of 187. Carlson led all shooters with a 37 on the north course as the Eagles combined for a score of 210.
- Nathaniel Renner, Hesperia Christian baseball — Renner tallied six hits in two games against University Prep. On April 8, Renner went 3 for 4 with a RBI, a run, and four stolen bases in a 9-6 loss. Renner led the offense in a 10-3 victory on April 10 by going 3 for 4 with two RBIs, three runs and two stolen bases.
- Savannah Vanderpool, Sultana softball — Vanderpool struck out 11 batters and hit a pair of solo home runs in a 15-5 victory over Serrano on April 8. Vanderpool struck out six batters in three hitless innings and went 1 for 2 with a RBI in a 13-2 victory over Hesperia on April 10.
