There were plenty of strong performances from Salem-Keizer swimmers through the 2024-25 season, with a handful of local athletes nabbing podium spots at last month's state championships.

Now we want you to vote for the boys swimmer of the year. Vote at statesmanjournal.com/sports. The poll will be open until 11 a.m. Sunday, March 30.

Here are the nominees for the top Salem-area boys swimmer for the 2024-25 season.

Jarrod Coy, West Salem​


Coy took third place in the 500-yard freestyle (4 minutes, 40.19 seconds) and sixth in the 200 freestyle (1:44.76) at the Class 6A state championships.

Taylor Fast, Silverton​


Fast took sixth place in the 100 backstroke (58.04) at the Class 5A state championships.

Nolan Horner, Silverton​


Horner took fourth place in both the 50 freestyle (22.22 seconds) and 100 freestyle (49.09) at the Class 5A state championships.

Colin Ross, Silverton​


Ross took sixth place in the 100 breaststroke (1:03.80) at the Class 5A state championships.

Mark Seledkov, Woodburn​


Seledkov took second place in the 100 breaststroke (1:00.15) at the Class 5A state championships.
