It is now time to vote in the 2024-25 South Bend Tribune Boys Basketball Player of the Year fan poll, presented by the YMCA of Greater Michiana! A total of 20 players from the area have been nominated for their performance on the hardwood this season.

WE HAVE RECENTLY CHANGED THE RULES TO THE POLL. You will now only be able to vote once per hour, per device. For example, if you have a phone, computer and tablet, you can vote three times an hour, once on each device. We are hoping this makes thing as fair as possible to give everyone a shot at winning the vote.

Here are the nominees, in alphabetical order by school.

Bremen sophomore Chase Devine​


Set a single-season program record with 528 points. Averaged 22 points, 3.8 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 2 steals per game. He was an Indiana Basketball Coaches Association Underclassmen honorable mention all-state selection.

Edwardsburg (Mich.) senior Brody Schimpa​


The lone Michigan player on the poll, Schimpa averaged 19 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals per game, helping the Eddies win an MHSAA Division 2 district title.

Jimtown senior Branden King​


Averaged 17.3 points, 9.1 rebounds, 2.1 assists, 1.2 steals and 1.5 blocks per game as the Jimmies won IHSAA Class 2A sectional and regional titles. He was named to the IBCA Small School All-State Team.

LaPorte sophomore Griffith Ott-Large​


Averaged 16.9 points, 4 rebounds and 4.5 assists as Slicers reached a 4A sectional final. He was named an honorable mention on the underclassmen all-state team.

LaVille senior Collin Czarnecki​


Averaged 25.6 points, 5.6 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 2.5 steals, helping Lancers finish with a 15-9 record. He was named a senior all-state honorable mention.

Michigan City senior Anthony Murphy​


Averaged 17.2 points, 8 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 2.6 steals per game. He was named a senior all-state honorable mention.

Northridge senior Mason Bales​


Was named to the Senior All-State Team after averaging 13.6 points, 5 rebounds and 3.4 steals this season.

Northridge junior Brady Scholl​


Scholl was named to the Underclassmen "Supreme 15" team, with the IBCA selecting him as one of the 15 best underclassmen in the state this year after averaging 16.3 points, 9.6 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 1.2 steals and 3 blocks per game. The Raiders went 21-4 this season.

NorthWood senior Maddux Everingham​


Averaged 16.6 points, 2.1 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1.4 steals per game. He was named a senior all-state honorable mention.

NorthWood senior Tyler Raasch​


Was named to the All-State team for a third consecutive season after averaging 15.5 points, 9.7 rebounds, 2.9 assists, 1.2 steals and 1.7 blocks per game. NorthWood posted a 19-5 mark this year.

Penn freshman Caleb Coolman​


Coolman set the freshman scoring program record for the Kingsmen this year with 391 points. He averaged 15.6 points, 6 rebounds and 4.8 assists per game. He was named an underclassmen all-state honorable mention.

South Bend Adams junior Jarvis Tolbert​


Averaged 20 points, 4.4 rebounds and 1.6 steals per game. He was named an underclassmen all-state honorable mention.

South Bend Riley junior Tyrese Jones​


Named to the Junior All-Star team after averaging 14.4 points, 5.9 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 2.2 steals per game in his first season with the Wildcats.

South Bend Riley senior Marvin Schindler​


Averaged 15.5 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists and 1.6 steals per game. He was named a senior all-state honorable mention. Riley won 4A sectional and regional titles this season as well.

South Bend Saint Joseph sophomore Elijah King​


King was named to the Underclassmen All-State Team after averaging 13.9 points, 5.1 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.5 steals per game.

South Bend Saint Joseph senior Chase Konieczny​


Konieczny became the second player in Saint Joseph County history to eclipse 2,000 career points (Markus Burton, Penn '23). Averaged 22.6 points, 9.1 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 2 steals per game. Was named to the Senior "Supreme 15" list and is a strong candidate to make the Indiana All-Star team as of the publishing of this poll (the team has not officially been announced yet).

South Bend Saint Joseph senior Ethan Roseman​


Roseman was one of the top assisters in the state, averaging 7.1 assists per game while adding 10.8 points, 2.9 rebounds and 1.8 steals a contest as well. He was named an underclassmen all-state honorable mention.

South Bend Saint Joseph junior Nick Shrewsberry​


Shrewsberry became an Indiana Junior All-Star selection after averaging 13.8 points, 4.1 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 2.6 steals per game this season.

South Bend Washington sophomore Da'Kori Parker​


Averaged 14.4 points, 3.5 rebounds, 4.7 assists and 2.7 steals per game. He was named an underclassmen all-state honorable mention.

South Bend Washington junior Steven Reynolds III​


Named a "core" Indiana Junior All-Star and to the IBCA Underclassmen "Supreme 15" Team after averaging 23.2 points, 7.9 rebounds, 5.7 assists, 2.4 steals and 2.3 blocks per game.
