That doesn’t invalidate a single point?!?Precisely my point.
Crowder isn't playing and McGee hasn't helped the Mavericks much.

This place is turning into the Lord of the Flies, if it wasn't already.
Was that a bio pic about Willie Mays? This place is turning into the Lord of the Flies, if it wasn't already.
I was too young when I read that book, and it's the only one I recall that gave me nightmares as a child.Be quiet! No one gave you the conch!
Crowder is not capable of making a material impact, he's just not that good of a player. It’s not a great situation to be sure. I’d like the Suns to get something and move on, but I really don’t want them to make a lopsided deal in the west and then watch Crowder make a material impact on the playoff race—especially if the Suns are fighting a low seed or a play-in spot.
There will be a large number of bidders the longer we wait to trade a player… who is “not capable of making a material impact”.Crowder is not capable of making a material impact, he's just not that good of a player.
I don't expect a deal till very near the deadline - why, because waiting is how to get the best available haul and the largest number of bidders for the sellers.
If that were true the Suns wouldn’t be fielding calls. Every team needs a Crowder type player IMO.Crowder is not capable of making a material impact, he's just not that good of a player.

Um that is not my argument. The most valuable piece of any trade we will make is going to be the first round picks. There will be a large number of bidders the longer we wait to trade a player… who is “not capable of making a material impact”.
Good argument.
I'm not saying he's useless, just that he isn't that big of factor. Which is pretty obviously true by the types of offers we have been rumored to be given. If that were true the Suns wouldn’t be fielding calls. Every team needs a Crowder type player IMO.

Those picks don't have much value. That's why most of the recent rumors involve 3 team trades. To get the right amount of value for everyone it's likely going to be a 3 team trade unless the Suns settle for what they can get. It's true that the Suns' first-round picks are going up in value as the team continues to lose, but even so, I don't see them having much power to sweeten a trade offer.
Shoot Crowder for Hachimura would have helped this team more than doing nothing! JJ needs to do something this roster is just not solid right now especially with injuries…So I assume WAS does not want to deal Kuzma, well not for Crowder anyway which is why they offered Hachimura instead.
I wonder what WAS asking price is.

He needs to do something. He's proven he won't take junk which is all he needed to do initially but offers will turn into junk if he continues waiting. Sure, someone might get desperate for help and look to Crowder as an answer but theres very little time left on that clock now that we're essentially a month from the trade deadline. If he ends up buying Crowder out or getting nothing I'm for JJ being fired when the new owner comes in. He's done nothing since the CP3 trade and that was 2 1/2 years ago. Seeing these injuries pile up while the Suns have an open roster spot and a wasted spot in Crowder is inexcusable.
You had to know there was more to it than Jones not wanting to make a trade. The vetting process for the Suns new owner is not expected to be complete before the February 9th trade deadline. This could curtail the possibility of a major trade.
Here is more from the above linked article.
By Brian Windhorst ESPN Senior Writer:
Acting governor Sam Garvin is in charge of the day-to-day and said he has a sign-off on trades, but only to a certain point. And Mat Ishbia has an agreement to buy the team and is preparing for a midseason takeover, but it's not expected he will be through the vetting process before the Feb. 9 trade deadline.
To understand why the Suns haven't yet been able to find a deal for disgruntled forward Jae Crowder as injuries have ravaged the team and disrupted a 20-18 start, Phoenix's ownership morass is a contributing factor.
Why Robert Sarver still has power to sway the Suns' trade deadline plans
As the Suns navigate an ownership change, the franchise's ability to execute trades could still rest in the hands of the suspended Robert Sarver.www.espn.com
