Excellent movie. Shockingly touching, and lots of funny stuff. Deeper message than most of the kids' flicks. The interaction between wall-e and Eve were sweet, and when she was watching the security video from when he was taking care of her in "hibernation" it was amazing how much emotion they were able to convey.

I think this is going to just get even better on each rewatch.

I have mixed feeling about this. My kids loved it. My daughter absolutely loves the character Wall-E. My son thought it was cool.

Wall-E hands down is one of the best character creations in Pixar history. The rest of the characters were entertaining but none of the others stood out for me (although the cleaning bot was hilarious).

Also, I didn't really like the blending of real world humans with CGI. It was distracting. All the video footage of the president was of a real human but humans were depicted for the rest of the film as CGI. I know what they were trying to do here but it didn't work well.

Also, the story was a mixed bag. Pixar's last 2 films seem to have more and more adult themes that I think go over kids heads. Pixar is sort of walking that fine line their last 2 films with sending a message while entertaining kids. I too felt that some of the previous Pixar stories were better.

Having said that...it was a good movie with some great moments. I too love the character Wall-E. In the end my kids loved it and that's what counts.

I loved this movie. I saw it with friends (which surprised even myself) and I thought it was amazing. Truly one of my favorites from Pixar if not my favorite.

I saw it yesterday and thought it was done very well. In my opinion, I don't think it's Pixar's best but it is up there.

If I was rating it on a 1 to 5, I would give it a 4. The short movie with the rabbit and magician gets a 5.

I liked it a lot.
The expressiveness of EVE they were able to show with mostly l.e.d. eye patterns was cool - along with the development of "her" feelings for Wall E.
Every one else has mentioned all the other good stuff.

It was very cool. She was "cute" when she "laughed" with her "eyes." They do such a good job of giving human emotion to non human characters.

Saw it yesterday. After all the hype, it was a little disappointing. Glad I went, well worth a couple of hours inside on a hot day.

Decent tale. Super-cool whiz-bang video animation only goes so far. Seems to me the adults liked it better than the kids.

It was very, very average for me. Took my Niece (8 years) and she gave it 3.5 stars out of 5.

Some parts were fantastic and others I was just bored out of my mind.

It was VERY average. Nowhere near on par with most of the other Pixar films. My 13 year old just hated it. My 3 year old lost interest. Wife liked it and I was just meh about it.

Now the 5 minute short film that preceded it was just brillaint! That was funny as hell.

I agree. Monsters, Inc. still remains the bext Pixar movie by far. This movie seemed like it couldn't make up it's mind whether it wanted to be a movie for adults or a movie for kids. (I enjoy both)

Well.... I knew that it had to happen, and now that it has, I am greatly saddened.... Shane and I finally disagree on a movie.... :D

Absolutely out-friggin'-standing motion picture, for all the "good reasons" already listed, e.g. fantastic cgi/animation, the emotional impact of the robots, the not so subliminal adult humor and the pokes at our "ever expanding population." Definitely an "A+" effort from Pixar (or course, only Cars and A Bug's Life aren't A+ Pixar films.... They only rate an "A." :) ). I think there will be an Oscar nomination or 2 for this film. 4.5 out of 5 stars

p.s. Totally LMAO at the cartoon before the movie. Great stuff!!!

I like Monster's Inc., but honestly I think you're the only person I have seen that thinks it's the best they've ever done. (Most people gravitate to Toy Story, Finding Nemo or The Incredibles)

Recently watched it, couldn't agree more. I think I blew it by letting my expectations get too high. I was expecting a bit more since it's holding a #41 ranking at IMDB. The kids liked it, but they weren't blown away or anything.

Wow, I was incredibly disappointed by this movie. It was actually boring in parts... I did have a few good chuckles though. Cute movie, but not something I'd watch over and over again.

I think I enjoyed it more than Ratatouille, but barely.

Btw, Monster's Inc and Finding Nemo are my two fave Pixar movies.....
