So the Waltons now own all the Colorado Major League Sports except the Rockies plus the Rams.

Wait, they own the Rams?
How is that possible. Can you have ownership stake in more than one NFL team?
Stan Kroenke owns the Rams. His wife Ann Walton Kroenke officially owns the Avalanche, Nuggets, Rapids, etc, but that is legal fiction.

So two different Waltons each own an NFL Franchise, one that happens to be in the same town as the other owns all the other major sports.

Dang, they outbid me again. If prices go much higher, I will have to settle for some podunk minor league team in some hill billy town down south.

Could they pivot to offer that money to the bidwills?
there are four Bidwill kids IIRC

i suspect strongly that they have noticed the valuations of other NFL franchises and done the math

its a high end problem, but would you want $2-3mm per year every year, or, $800-900mm all at once?

It's a shame all NFL teams aren't publicly owned through stocks owned by a team's fans. They should share in the profits as the stocks rise each decade. If that sounds like some form of socialism, well sign me up. Why in this country are millions allowed to become billionaires while the lower class are only allowed to become homeless.

Someone who knows economics and the stock market, do some quick calculations and tell us a scenario where if we bought stock in our NFL team 40 or 50 years ago what it might be worth today. Just a curious thought.

Well… at annual installments of 3 mil, it would take 267 years to get to 800 mill so…..
yep

so i am curious if a couple of the family members have ever said to Mike: hey, buy us out at fair market value or sell the team
