That was a beautiful pass. The guy still has a cannon. I would be stoked for him to start. Brooks looked bad in both of their games so far.

On another note, does anyone else find Kornheiser completely useless in the MNF booth?

Im going to sound like a homer, but the Cards should have drafted him last year. His tools are better than Matt's he just did'nt have "USC" on his resume...

He throws the deep ball so effortlessly. Was so much fun to watch while at ASU. If he can continue to impress in practice he should start for a bad Oakland team at the end of the season

That's mature.

Please tell me just one "tool" other than arm strength in which Walter is better than Leinart.

WOW. I hope he wins the starting job over Brooks.

I missed it. :( I'll have to look for highlights.

Is it really a competition between Walter and Brooks? That would be great if AW won.

I like Walter but i'm not going to get in a fight on a messageboard defending him.

The only thing that bothers me about him is his mobility, he makes Kurt Warner look like Michael Vick

Ya shoulda seed it krep. It was a thing of beauty. He threw the ball 30 or more yards in the air, lead the guy perfectly and he walked in for a TD. Classic Walter. What an arm.

They quoted Moss as saying he was a lot more mobile than he thought he was. I guess it's all relative, though.

He might have to be mobile behind that line.

OK. Just switched to ESPN and chucked the remote to the other side of the room. :)

Please just shut up. The more you write the more we can all tell how little you really know.

And yes you are a homer!

I like Walter too, certainly more than McCown and a helluva lot more than Navarre both of whom I've argued for years do not belong in the NFL. Walter willl get a chance to start somewhere, but it never would have been a good fit here. Our team is built around the WRs running intermediate, precise routes while creating YAC and Fitzgerald and especially Boldin need accuracy and decision-making in a QB neither of which Walter is exactly known for.

I actually REALLY like Walter as an NFL QB. When i was in high school i was pimping this kid as he came out of Colorado.

But to say he is better than Leinart for the Cardinals is to be so amped about your school that you spend game days dressed in a full out Sparky costume.....:nono:

40, you're amazing! You must have wireless access because it seems like you're always one of the first to post after any development.

I liked the pass, but it still seems like he hesitates on most passes and 1 of 4 eat dirt.

What I'd love is for one of our resident gurus to give us an objective breakdown of Walter's preseason thus far. He's had two nationally televised games, so I don't think it's far fetched.

Calling all scouts!
