1) Dirk is up by 20,000 votes or so. Bird has 200 or so total votes. That is a stupid freaking thing.

2) I voted for Dirk because I hate Larry Bird. But that's just me.

You are contributing to the madness.

No, I think that is all the Mavs fans. I would never vote for any Celtic in any poll, unless it was "who would the world be better off without" or something along those lines.

Without a doubt the stupidest thing I have ever ever ever ever ever seen. If any of those match-ups were actually played out, Jerk would be out in the first couple rounds...Mavericks fans are idiots

i stopped reading as soon as i saw that kg beat jordan. that has to be the single stupidest vote in the history of anything basketball. anyone that voted for kg in that scenario should be immediately banned from any basketball court in the world, forced to surrender all sneakers, and be required to take up needlepoint.

It is indeed the dumbest vote ever... that said Dirk won, which is great because it's probably the only thing he will ever be voted in to win. No respect whatsoever, sickening.

Essentially, that's what Pippen has been saying latley about hmself Vs Jordan.

Pippen is 2nd :violin: to Jordan 8 days of the week.

Current or recent players tend to do better in surveys such as this.

You had to see The Big "O" (averaging a triple-double for a season); Bird (overachieving every minute of his career); Magic developing a dependable (shot-put, but dependable) outside shot; "Clyde" Frazier's versatility and the way he could draw fouls on long range shots made; Dr. J's antics in the air; Earl the Pearl doing the same on the ground; just to name a few.

I have no ill feelings towards Bird or Celtics...but your perspective cracked me up. :D

The Valley so low.
I liked the Russell Celtics, hated the McHale/Bird Celtics (McHale first because he deserved hate more), and have mostly disliked them ever since. But I have to affirm that they could be an amazing team--their skills, plus half-court team play....

But you had to hate them, because they were the main rivals to the '80s Lakers--Magic, the most unusual player ever and the greatest delight, Wilkes/Worthy, Jabbar--second most unusual--and the crew. I think if they'd been able to keep and satisfy Norm Nixon as a second/third guard (and draft Worthy and maybe Scott), they would've won 9 championships in a row.

Of course, the team they resemble most in style and delight of play is none other than...Your 2004+ Phoenix Suns!!! Any '80s Lakers fan with a soul is now a Suns fan.

unfortunately most of the lakers fans have become 90s knicks fans and try to call it basketball in the playoffs. they've converted to thinking basketball and wrestling should be intertwined. as long as no one is allowed to wrestle kobe that is . . .

I'm not a big fan of either, but as a Suns fan I have a duty to go against anything Dallas Mavericks. So, +1 for Bird.
