It was truly amazing what Warner did today. I was shocked, and I did not quite believe what I was seeing on the TV.

If you give Warner a running game and great pass protection, does he get us to the playoffs? The conference championship?

What happens when he is the week in, week out starter again? Does he tighten up? Does he start bumbling around again, or was that product of poor o-line play?

He would start getting too comfortable holding the ball too long and fumble a lot. He is perfect comin gin off the bench if we are having trouble with Matt.

In a couple of games people would be screaming for Matt as Kurt will make some bad turnovers.

That said, he is throwing the ball beautifully and Matt looks very confused out there.

The Cards don't have a playoff caliber defense or kick coverage squad.

I think a lot of people overlooked that with the QB stuff...the Cards gave up 381 yds total offense and allowed 12 of 18 3rd down conversions. Baltimore at one point seemed to be able to move at will--until they got in the redzone anyway. I do think that the defense is not as good as it was the first couple of weeks or as bad as it was this week but somewhere in between.

Agreed - Our D was awful today because our tackling was attrocious. The Ravens offense is below average & we made it look quite efficient. Did Warner wear the gloves today? He seems to have stumbled across something. Maybe less fumbles & better touch? His passes were perfect spirals today.

No doubt. And Duckjake, our special teams are shaky.

But does the offense continue to produce like it did in the 2nd half today if we leave Warner in?

Because if it does, our defense and ST won't half to be that good.

Warner led a rout of the BTL defense on their home field.

However if our defense continues to allow the other team to conduct 14 play 8 minute drives our offense won't have the chance to produce anything.

We're fortunate that McNair went out or we may have never had enough possessions to come back to tie.

Between the constant attention on replacing the QB, the petty Fitz vs Bolden threads and constant whining about Shipp not playing more than Edge, I am surprised the fan base on this board has the time to know if we have a defense or special teams at all.

The ASFN Cardinals playoff team...

- Warner QB suddenly the back ups flaws disappear....oh noes I guess Lion heart may get instantly more popular once he is demoted.
- Bolden WR
- Morey WR he should definitely start at WR after all he did block a punt in week 2.
- Shipp RB hits the hole so fast, it amazing this guy isn't the all time leading rusher
- any white guy at TE with a nice back story

That should do it. Playoffs for sure

Bolden?

That someone could post on this board and not know how to spell Q's name is probably the most amazing thing I've ever seen on ASFN. Well except for Chris Sanders avatar.

is that all you have?

You should be embarrassed.

Is it Bidwill or Bidwill?

And to the OP's question. Yes! Give the guy time and he'll still shred a defense. He got only hit twice against the Ravens with this line. Quite impressive.

I agree, the pocket was well formed, I mentioned this in another thread after watching Matt stand back there and do nothing or throw a lame pass, I started wondering the last two weeks what Kurt would do with that much time.

No one could have believed the line would be this much improved and so no one even gave Kurt a thought but I started to because Matt has stunk frankly.

I'm the coach, I play Matt, he'll dissapoint and in goes Kurt for the duration of the season, no rule says you can't change QB's and tough crap if Matt suffers psychic damage from it, this is the NFL as in not for long if you throw ducks.

FWIW, I am an ASU fan first so I get my Boldins and Boldens crossed up sometimes. It's all just priority. :D

PACF:

Yes, Warner wore his gloves. And if I were the manufacturer, I'd sign him up today as my celebrity spokesman. Kurt says he wishes he'd known years ago (i.e., after the broken fingers and ligament damage that derailed his career in St. Louis) how much difference the gloves would make in his ability to grip the ball securely. I don't think he'll ever play without them again.

Well put!! Warner is our present and should finish the season as our starter giving pretty boy a chance to "learn" our offense by staying late and coming in early.

WARNER FOR STARTING QB!!! :)
