True - that's why I expected Matt to look better and he did. When he was under pressure last night, he seemed to continue to go through his reads. At Oakland, at the first sign of trouble he'd lock on to one guy and under throw them.

ML did look better last night. His throws were crisper and not ducks. This after he was sacked the first play he was out there. I am glad he looked better. Hopefully he realizes he needs more work on reading defenses and knowing where his receivers are at all times and is willing to put in the work required.

matt's arm looked just fine. I hope that quiets the garbage talk that has permeated this board about the guy. He had zip...zip against anyone is still zip. Dunno why he struggled against Oakland, but he did, and it cost him the job. Hope he is ready and waiting for his shot to take over this team.

And I hope to never again hear the "he was a crybaby on the sidelines" crap ESPN spewed. I've never seen it. NOBODY has. He's never been that way. There is a lot of unwarranted dislike for Matt on the board. Kurt is the starter, and good for him. He earned it...as he should. Matt had his chance. But after this year, it will likely be Matt's team. He'll have a couple of years to earn a fat contract..he isn't paid heavily now. I would LOVE to have him earn a monster contract next year...that would mean we are doing good things.
