Does that mean AT LEAST one week or ONLY one week? If Darren Urban doesn't know yet, I doubt if ESPN News does.

Kurt Warner said he believes there is ligament damage in his left (non-throwing) elbow but that it is not serious enough to knock him out for a substantial amount of time.

Kurt Warner believes he damaged ligaments in his non-throwing elbow on this play.

The Cardinals quarterback said he is hoping doctors can put a brace on it and he can play through it. Warner, who is scheduled to undergo an MRI on Monday, said he will probably miss a week.
"We'll see the extent of it and see what we can do as far as getting me back as soon as possible," he said.

Power of prayer. Ride or Die.

These QBs are churning out catch phrases like ESPN wishes they could.

stating obvious, but if he only thinks he will miss one week, he will get an extra week to rest it cause we get a bye after washington!

things to note;

ligament damage was to his non throwing arm. His grip on the ball will be significantly less. He'll be able to throw fine.

We need to go into the bye 4-3 or this place will implode with pessimism.

A one armed Kurt is better than a two armed Rattay with little time to adjust to the playbook and such. After that gumby impression, Kurt has to be sore as hell. I couldn't imagine the pain.

BE REALISTIC.....we will lose next week. and hobble into the bye week.

Now 3-4 into the bye week with the tougher part of the schedule over isn't bad. ESPECIALLY if we can get candyass 75 back with dansby, boldin and warner. it will be an interesting second half.

ESPN's John Clayton reports Kurt Warner (non-throwing elbow) is expected to miss one week.

It appears Tim Rattay, who threw three interceptions and no touchdowns Sunday against Carolina, will start at Washington in Week 7. Tim Hasselbeck will be signed to back up Rattay. Warner doesn't believe he'll miss substantial time, so owners should hang on in shallow leagues. He'll get a Week 8 bye to heal, then could start the following Sunday at Tampa. Oct. 15 - 2:56 pm et

"There is an ESPN report out that says Kurt Warner will miss a week with his bad elbow. I'm not sure exactly where that is coming from, since coach Ken Whisenhunt specifically did not put any time frame on the injury out there and Warner was not available for interviews today. But I will say that it should probably say at least one week. It's unlikely Warner won't miss any time, but to say he will definitely only miss a single game is probably a little presumptuous at this point."

Typical ESPN. They watched an episode of Dr. Kildare or more likely Grey's Anatomy, and jumped the gun. Pull their medical license.

Urban's blog links the ESPN report and pretty much discredits it saying that Kurt will be out at least 1 week.

He also mentions that Francisco tore his MCL and will miss 3-4 weeks.

Dansby injury still unknown.

Go Cards!!!

So he can throw, but will have trouble taking snaps? Sounds like a great time to run the option with Q taking the snap and flipping gently to Warner if he wants. :D

I understand not wanting to be one dimensional, but with everything that's happened and the situation that the Card's now face, doesn't it make sense to at least try running the no huddle/shotgun as the regular offense if/when Warner comes back?

Have they scored a "conventional" td all year?

Garbage report. Let's get the MRI report and word from Whisenhunt first.

Text message from KTAR states that Warner is out indefinitely with a sprained left elbow and that the Cards are expected to sign Tim Hasselbeck.
