Warner seems to be getting lost in all these threads. Under pressure all day long he got the job done. Passed with the left arm and the right. They may not have been real passes but they were creative. His passes looked crisp and on the money. The one that was high in the back of the end-zone for a TD to Fitz was a gem. Also the one he threw while running to his right and hitting the receiver right on the sideline was another gem. His experience really showed up today. Kudos to Kurt. Sure glad he was here when Leinhart went down

He looked really good and didn't fumble on any of the sacks. But he did get lucky on the flip to Pope. That's the kind of Warner play that usually ends in an interception.

It's nice to have Kurt here- in a year or two we might be saying he was the best free agent the Cardinals ever signed.

Gone are the days of Dave Brown-ish back-ups!

The way Matt gets hurt, the Cardinals would be wise to make sure we have a veteran who can still play in the shadows. Based on the last two years, Matt's career might be similiar to Chad Pennington's career, as far as injuries.

We also need to draft another QB as a project this draft. Maybe one as high as the third round. If we can keep Kurt another 2 years, then that QB will be ready to go as the backup.

The bomb to Boldin was a thing of beauty. As Jeff wrote in another thread, that's Cardinal offense at its best, catching a team off balance and capitalizing. The conservative second half play-calling was disturbing. Whis needs to take a page from the Patriots play book, and keep the foot on the accelerator. This week versus Frisco is the chance.

Just imagine how great he would look and how dominant our offense could really be if we could actually run the ball... Amazing that Kurt has looked so good with zero running support...

kurt doesn't need to be amazing, and he doesn't need to do any magic (although he did 2 plays in a row). he just needs to be a consistent good quarterback and not turn the ball over too much. Keeping our offense on the field is very important.

Without a running game, it becomes very difficult to "keep our offense on the field"... unless of course you are being magical and amazing...

what i meant was he doesn't need to thread the needle and make unneccesary risks, he needs to hit the check down if he has to, and keep the offense rolling, not try to make the perfect throw. this does not mean we shouldn't throw it downfield, those deep passes were crucial yesterday not just because we scored on them, but they open up the zones underneath.

I didn't want to start a new thread about this but guess who's a top 10 rated qb right now? Warner and Derek Anderson are tied for 10th overall with an 88.8 rating. Not too bad for ol' Kurt "Sykes" Warner.

I was thinking Warner was having a Jake moment.
