Nice dunk by Goodwin, he played with a lot of confidence tonight.

TJ w/ 22ish minutes. Hope this continues.

Len outplayed Bogut.

And Steph Curry killed us. Dude is all universe.

Knight was pretty awesome before he went out. Hope it is nothing too serious.

Quick observations:

what has happened to Gerald Green? I think he may have lost all of his confidence with those DNP's. He's missing even the most wide-open shots.

God I wish Goodwin could shoot the ball. Lock him and TJ in the practice facility all this summer with a shooting coach. I know it's not a high bar, but he has much better ballhandling/playmaking skills than Bledsoe and probably better than Knight as well. I was really not happy when he got sent back to the bench because I thought he was playing very well.

The gig is up. I don't think anybody believes they can make the playoffs, so I really hope Green's and Marcus Morris's minutes start going more to TJ Warren and Goodwin. I would start Goodwin and Bledsoe and put the ball in Goodwin's hands a lot of the time in the half court.

Markieff was just awful tonight. What were he and his brother tonight? 2-18?

Lastly, just like when I watch Chicago with Noah I get sad about what could have been when I watch Golden State. First they have Iguodala who really should have been a Phoenix Suns player if not for Bryan Colangelo out thinking himself and making bad trade with Chicago in 2004. I love watching Curry, but that kills me as well since the Phoenix Suns/we thought they had successfully traded for him in that draft.

Oh yeah, I hope Knight can come back soon, but that did not look good.

Joe

I don't really get Jeff Hornacek I must say.

We are clearly out of the race. Our team looks like they have given up on the season since the Spurs game. Clearly something happened after the OKC win or the Spurs loss.

Gerald Green likely won't be here next year, Marcus Thornton neither. Why play them over Warren or Goodwin. Why keep Goodwin on a short leash still.

Our offense is struggling hardcore since the OKC game. Our turnovers are way up, our spacing horrible, no movement around the perimeter at all. Guards have a very hard time to play this "attack" style without racking up turnovers if there are no passing lanes. It seems to me that our offense is tailored right now to turning the ball over.

Anyway the season is completely lost at this point.

Well, Markief offered an explanation after the game on the teams woes:
"Different team, man," Suns power forward Markieff Morris said. "After the trade, we lost 30 point. You can count 30 points for those two guys (Goran Dragic and Isaiah Thomas) every game. Now we just got to find a way to score."

hmmmm....

I think it would be best if Markieff just didn't say anything in public.

What is wrong with what he said?

Isaiah Thomas was the only one other than Markieff that could consistently score and create shots for himself.

IT off the bench willed us to stay in many games that otherwise would have been ugly.

We went from the best bench in the NBA to getting very little from the bench.

We lost a starter, a backup center and our 6th man and the whole return was a replacement starter who has so far struggled.

Nothing in isolation. But within the context of the aftermath of a game where he shot two airballs and had a pathetic offensive performance (1 for 8 shooting), for him to be pointing the finger elsewhere is pretty weak.

Archie played well in the 4th when he was PG. He should have gotten more time, but good to see Warren get extended time and also with the starters in the final quarter (Bled, Len, Morrii).

I hope Steph Curry gets MVP. If the Suns don't make the playoffs I'll be rooting for Golden State or perhaps Portland. Curry and Lillard are fun to watch.

Let's hope this is the starting five for the next games (until Knight is back):
PG Bledsoe
SG Goodwin
SF Warren
PF Keef
C Len

IF Hornacek starts with this group he must give 25-30 minutes to both Archie and TJ.

Missing out on Curry had nothing to do with the Suns. Credit the Suns for seeing his potential and trying to make a trade to get him. The Iggy thing was just ludicrous.

This is the best approach at this time. The Suns need to keep giving these guys lots of minutes. They need to evaluate them playing in NBA games to see their potential for next season.

Green is gone.
Thornton's gone.
What if they screw up and lose Knight?
How much are they willing to pay Wright?
Are they gonna try and rehab Granger? If so where does he fit in?

Look at all the money the Suns have coming off the books.

All I know is we have a LOT of holes to fill in the offseason if they dealt the Morri

Backup Center
3rd string F/C
Power Forward backup and starter
Small Forward could use a talent upgrade
3rd string PG

And even then we need to add some perimeter shooting to our guard and small forward mix. Can't have 8 guards/small forwards and nobody is a shooter. I am not going to count Tucker as a shooter just because he can sit in the corner and make a 3.

So I think Tucker might be another trade chip, very movable contract.

Not sure TJ Warren is a starting SF prospect. I think his game is too unconventional for that, you would have to build your team around a small forward who does not space the floor by adding others that can do that but our backcourt is already slashing and not shooting. So maybe TJ Warrens best role will be 6th man in the mold of Rodney Rogers playing 3/4.

Len/???
???/???/???
???/Warren/Granger
Knight/Goodwin/Bogdanovic
Bledsoe/???
