I attended the game. My kids got me tickets and took me to see maybe KD one last time, and I had not seen Curry live before. They bought the tickets before KD was injured.
First off, this was the first game I have ever left early. I always stay if I buy a ticket. There's always something to watch for. I told my kids we could leave early, and they kept asking me if I was sure. They couldn't remember me leaving a game early either.
Second, Curry seemed like he was toying with whoever we guarded him with. He seemed like he was just amusing himself dribbling around people, and showing off. It was amazing to see how very little space and time he needs to get off a shot and the accuracy he has in that quick flick. It's impressive on TV, but amazing live. I love Booker, but Curry is a whole level above Book. I saw Messi play soccer live, and that was the same thing. A guy doing amazing things and no-one could stop him. Watching Curry last night reminded me of watching Messi.
Booker was the only guy on our squad that could create his own shot. Even Beal was not able against the GSW defense. The GSW offense was just so much better than ours. We need a coach that runs plays. Really.
Glad I spent time with my boys, but possibly the worst Suns game I have attended, ever.
