No.

Leinart was not this bad.

Can we see Skelton? Could he be worse?

That's my only point about Leinart.

I don't care if the other player thought he was Satan, he would give us a much, much better chance to win vs. any of the guys on the roster right now.

Winning would have cured any fractures in the locker room, and I think we would be winning this game right now if matty were playing.

That's all... just saying.

Yep, winning cures everything and Leinart was the best chance at that even if he was Freddie Kruger in the locker room. Now we have to back in to the Division title of a terrible division hopefully.

no friggin way. Matt has to be feeling pretty justified in his position now. Whis is apparently clueless when it comes to qb play. He can thank Kurt for making him look like he knew what he was doing.

It's week seven. For better or for worse, Matt is gone. Nothing we can do about that now.

So what exactly has beer bong boy done to prove Whiz wrong again?

By playing third string and being inactive in Houston for five weeks, he's managed to be better than Max Hall or Derek Anderson.

Seriously: by not playing he's shown himself to be a better quarterback than Max Hall. Joshua Cribbs is a better quarterback than Max Hall.

If his decisions have proven to be epic failures, what makes you think getting rid of him is not in that category? Seems his evaluation of QB's is suspect at best.

I usually have 100% faith in Whiz but today I would have liked to have Matt as an option today.

we knew that already... Rothlisberger stated a few times that wis hindered his development more than helped it.
Wis does not like anyone who is in a position to argue with him about his offense,....all those cocky ass big ego having QB's.
guys like we have now,...they would never argue with the coach who gave them a shot.....just the kind of QB wis likes.

announcers were spot on

"Whiz got rid of Leinart because the players believe in Anderson. He benched Anderson because the players believed in Hall. How far do you go with that strategy?"

That was classic.

I mean he probably feels justified in how he felt at the time. Whis had a bug up his ass to get Matt out of here without any regard for the fate of the team.

It's not like his job was in jeopardy, he got his before he made the decision.

I found this quote about Leinart the other day. I thought it was pretty fitting.

http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl...txfront+(HoustonChronicle.com+--+Houston+Texa

"Oh boy, he's making a lot of progress," Kubiak said. "I'm really impressed with how far he's come. He has a lot of confidence as a person. He has that 'it' factor when people are around him - you can see it.

And, no, Leinart wasn't this bad. His start against the Titans last year was better than any of the QB performances this year. Maybe not statistically, but I think he managed the game much better than what I've seen from DA and Hall.

I don't think Leinart was the answer for the Cardinals although it can certainly be debated with players like Max Hall and Derek Anderson quarterbacking the team. The problem as I see it, the Cardinals released Leinart without finding another starting QB and going with scrubs.

I love that. I missed that quote, but caught the one they said about Hall being a leader, but needs to be productive. I think that quote just goes to show how badly this organization botched this offseason. Welcome back to NFL irrelevancy Cardinals.

Yep. When some posters here were using the "but the other players didn't want him" argument in support of cutting Leinart, my point was if you let the players make roster decisions, you are screwed. The coach has to see the big picture and do what is best for the team. The players want to win, but they are also very interested in putting up big stats so they can get paid.

I wonder if those "silent players' those who didn't defend Matt are really happy now?

How's that working out for you guys now?

WHIZ is not as good as he thinks he is.!!!!

That's just too funny.

But wait, Kubiak isn't an engineer so what does he know?
