Going into last night's game I thought that LSH might have to show something in order to make the team. Consider that, in effect, the League did away with his job. And while he's considered a 3rd down back, his size doesn't lend itself to him being an effective pass blocker. But I'm guessing that with us having almost no depth at the RB position, and his running performance vs. the Chargers, along with the receiving TD, pretty much sewed up a spot on the "53". At least I hope so.

Well, I never thought for a moment that he was on the "bubble", and all kickoffs won't be going through the uprites.

Nah, I think he's solid for the team. He's got a role on any nfl team, and I'm glad it's this one.

He's done very well this preseason. I think his job is very safe this year.

I don't think he was even consider on being cut even if R Williams was still playing. I think he will get a lot of snaps this year and he will also be getting a lot of years. He is scrappy and thats what will make him a decent RB.

I think that they know what they have in them: A great return man and solid undersized change of pace back. They would like to see the other backs and avoid seeing LSH's head taken off in a meaningless preseason game

I might get flak for this but I would consider cutting LSH. Sure it's just preseason, but he's looked horrid returning kicks. I think he's gotten ONE past the 20 so far, with most only getting to about the 15.

He also doesn't offer much as far as playing RB. I'd cut him and bring in a decent young back that was released due to the numbers game.

I haven't watched a ton of football to this point outside of the Cards, but has anyone looked good returning kick offs? It seems like everyone is either running it out from deep in the end zone or the kicker puts more air under it when kicking it short and the defense has more time to run down field.

I think there is a 0% chance LSH is cut, but stranger things have happened.

He reminds me of a Darren Sproles type back. Given the chance he will break out. I have a jersey on order right now, red 36 with the name HYPHEN on the back. I actually took him as my last pick in my 12 team draft today, we do return points.

The kid is also a STs dynamo on coverage teams if they let him.

Not a chance. This was a great value pick for the Cards. LSH is a football player. As Shane pointed out he can do more on ST than return kicks.

I never thought LSH was on the bubble but i found it curious he got so many carries for such a small back while Alfonso Smith sat. It made me think they were evaluating LSH.

Does anyone know if Alfonso Smith was injured? They might battle for the last RB position. It seems almost certain the Cardinals plan to bring in another RB.

Smith is injured. They had no choice.

This post is hilarious. LSh should have been in the ProBowl last year as a kick returner or special teams player.

For a guy on the bubble he averaged 6.7 yards per carry and had one catch for a TD. I agree, he's not going anywhere.

If Williams wasn't hurt maybe he's playing for a spot. But without Williams there in the backfield, I think he's a lock.

He has looked great running the rock in the preseason.

I'd never cut a solid change of pace back like that. The KR ability is just gravy.

Too much value for what he does on special teams other than returning kicks. He also is the only back on our roster that can make a guy miss in the hole and catch the ball out of the backfield. Moving KO's up has really limited his ability to make an impact, but without more elusive backs on the roster, he sticks.

Yup. And he's the Antrel Rolle gimmick player for the offense. Even with Ryan Williams in the fold, you need a guy like LSH. I'm not sure why he's not on the coverage teams right now; he was exceptional in that role last year.

LSH is a lock to be on this team next year. All he does is do what he is asked to do at a high level and because the guy is short, most want to believe he is always on the bubble...pop that bubble, LSH is a good NFL player

He was a lock before the Williams injury. I'm shocked that he could be thought of as a bubble player.
