The Washington Wizards made the decision to select big man Alex Sarr with the No. 2 overall pick in the 2024 NBA draft. It was a move that the Wizards felt could change their outlook for the future.

Sarr has shown flashes of star potential throughout his rookie season to this point.

Steve Aschburner of NBA.com released a new "Kia Rookie Ladder" with just about two weeks left in the regular season. In that ladder, Sarr came in at No. 3 behind Stephon Castle of the San Antonio Spurs and Zaccharie Risacher of the Atlanta Hawks.

He has been able to come in and make an impact right off the bat as a 19-year-old rookie.
