Josh McCown and Anquan Boldin participated in the 989 SPORTS NFL QB Challenge back in April. The show will air this weekend on CBS Sports. McCown competed against other NFL quarterbacks in four different skills competitions, including accuracy, speed and mobility, long distance, and “No Huddle.”

The “No Huddle” drill utilized top NFL wide receivers like Boldin, Torry Holt (St. Louis Rams), Keenan McCardell (Tampa Bay Buccaneers) and Troy Brown (New England Patriots) as the targets for the quarterbacks.

To be more like the Quan I'm no longer wearing socks. I feel my fortunes improving already.

If Brown had caught that ball Josh would be right up near the top in the overall competition.

Josh is looking good! He's got the skills, no doubt about that. He got screwed by Troy Brown but he's still in 3rd place.

Oh yeah, sweet catch by Anquan.

They both-

made me proud, can't believe we actually had Boomer for awhile. He must have driven those guys nuts in the locker room. What an EGO!! Yeah, football again.

In the article Anquan said Josh looked good, but he had a couple of people drop balls on him. This is #1.

Just a quick observation, his mechanics looked better then I remember it. He also threw a really good deep ball right over his shoulder, although the WR dropped it and it should have been over the sideline side shoulder, but thats just nit picking.

The thing that-

impressed me most was the speed that Josh had, much faster than most of the others. I'm saying my prayers! :D

I like the way he was able to make a good throw even after losing his hat.

Looked like Troy Brown dropped it on purpose. What kind of effort was that? I can't wait to see him in September.... Josh got screwed.

I can't wait to see what Josh and Anquan can do in a good offense this year. He certainly looks more athletic than any of the other quarterbacks there and he can throw too. As far as physical ability I don't see him lacking anything.
