I was very impressed with the team in the second half, especally Warner. He was on his game. Fitzgerald WOW! The new kid number 19 WR played real well ( I think McCoy). JJ should be our starter and he showed spots of it and even blocked fairly well. Wehave 5 starters on defense out most for the season. Our defese is in trouble when you pick up your starting DE during the week. Our best position player Bertrum Berry watched this game. Our best WR Bolden watched this game. When your go to guy is your FB and you still score enough points to win if your defese wasn't so banged up.

I liked what I saw except for the first quarter. Shipp isn't having a good year, but on top of that his Dad passes away during the week. All of a sudden, had to be very hurtfull, but he was there. Unfourtanatly not in spirit. I can't wait till next week.

I don't know about that. It was more along the lines of predictable. Every time this team was in position to make it interesting they get called for a stupid penalty and give up a big play.

Their 5th safety is their treasure  I should've known that was Stone when i saw Chris Chambers wide open in the end zone. C'mon you're not really comparing the Cards roster to the reigning back to back Super Bowl champions roster are you? If you're going to use that logic, i can't arguer with you. You are forgetting the fact that Tom Brady bailed them out again and they were playing against the 2nd worst team in the NFL last year. Why don't you mention the fact that they are barely a .500 team that was blown out by Indy at home after being what some people are saying was a dynasty.

I swear some people want to make a career of making excuses for the Cardinals.

You can belittle the accomplishments of other teams but it still doesn't change the fact that other teams backups step up and the Cardinals don't. Usually the backup has his career day against the Cardinals. McCoy did well yesterday, Reynaldo Hill did a while back. But for the most part it doesn't happen.

When was the last time a Cardinal substitute uncharacteristically had a huge game? When was the last time you heard an announcer talk about what a big game one of the Cardinals no name guys or backups was having?

I don't buy into the theory that every guy the Cardinals can find to play as a backup is a bum. They just turn into one once they come to Arizona. Either that or they get hurt.

All of these points are valid, from every guy who's posted.
I tend to agree that sucess breeds sucess, the Patriots are playing with a lot of guys they are signing as they become avalible. Mostly on defense. The offense is also marred, but some key positions were healthy enough to beat the solid personel of the Dolphins.
I'd think that maybe if the Patriots haven't been so sucessful in the last five years they might not have been able to play through crisis like they are right now. They would be us.
If Dennis Green can build a foundation that he would like to, perhaps as fans we can reap the benefits of a 5-4 record while still being desimated by injures. He's had the job for a year and a half. Give him another year and a half and we'll see where the project stands, on a hill, or in garbage.

I don't make excuse for the Cards. It's just reality.Back in the Mac days i was one of the darkest darksiders.I wish the Cards had guys step in and play but until their overall roster improves it's hard to find adequate backups. It will happen. It's just takes time.
