Probably the best game I've ever seen live. Close second is the win against Green Bay the following year, and the loss in the Super Bowl.

But that NFC title game was soooo special. Ahhh..I'll love Hightower forever and ever because of that game.

That halftime was unreal. We were all so stoked and the game was so good...and only got better (added tension/drama).

The video I shot. The guy I asked if he was good was the primary eagle fan in the area..we nicely talked crap all game. It was just about this moment that we realized that..uhm, holy ef, we might be going to the SUPER BOWL!

AHHHH, what a wonderful day.

You should also watch the falcons and panthers games. You will remember Spach's 3rd down catch to seal the game and Delhomme's self destruction.

I have never watched the reply of the SB ever since that day. Just too painful. Only a few seconds here and there we could have changed history from being the worst team ever to be in the superbowl.

I honestly don't even know if I have watched that game on TV before since I was there as well. Greatest sports game I have ever been to, hands down. Would probably be a fun one to rewatch. There was a 30 minute Super Bowl special on espn where they kind of recap the game and I changed the channel after Fitz's breakaway TD. Watching Harrison's ridiculous run is painful enough. I remember I refused to watch any sports shows for a few days after the game knowing it was going to be nonstop santonio highlights.

You should have tried flying home with a plane full of steeler fans.

Ugh.

The best and worst trip of my life, all wrapped up into one.

Me either!! I don't think I ever will. I was there, saw the highlights after when Shane, Abomb and I were drowning our sorrows in wings and beer, and have never even watched a HIGHLIGHT of the game since that night.

The 4th down run he made earlier in the drive was clutch as well. I think FB Terrelle Smith had a great block on that run, too

For me, that game always ends at 2 minutes plus remaining on the clock... ;)

.... And if you noted the play of #73 at left guard for Green Bay, you'll see why the Cards got Colledge.

Me too as a long time fan who has suffered through many bad seasons we had it coming. But now before I get myself in trouble.

Met Donald, A-Bomb, Zeno, Gamebird 98, and Linderbee, too many others to remember. At the jersey tailgate Chris Sanders and Cardinal Ken.

Saw a lot of guy from years ago at the old SDS days too, redforce one, Kid Stalling, bleeding red, Duckjake, and fiasco.

Then at the Superbowl we saw Danald, A-Bomb, and Zeno. I sawhane but from a distance.

Funny story we when in St. Louis earlier that year we met two couples on the street from Phoenix, we invited them to the big tailgate. Well at the superbowl my son and I were walking by the restrooms and ran into them again. They said wow we were just wondering if you guys were here. Small world Love them red birds.

When you get down to it, neither one of those games should have been as close as they turned out. Pendergast, for some reason, turned off the pressure on McNabb which allowed him time to throw long passes like the one to Jackson and then pick us apart with short passes to Celek(who ate us alive). But the real breaker of that game was the blown call on the kickoff in the 1st half. Rackers chipped it, they muffed it, and we recovered but for some reason the officials called it out of bounds and gave the ball to Philly. IIRC it wasn't even reviewed. That would have given us the ball inside the Eagles 30 with 3 minutes to play. We would have scored easily because at the time the Eagles were playing back on their heels(not to mention taking cheap shots at Warner) and Warner was picking them apart all half long. 28-6 would have decimated the Eagles. Of course it was all moot because we won.

Man I've been around for a guy who supposedly lives in his moms basement. Oh in AZ we don't have basements. But dont let facts get in the way of a good melt down...;)

It's a figure of speech genius. But since you want to argue facts, re-read what I wrote in my "meltdown" and point out where I'm wrong about this team. Again i'll wait.

Keep waiting GENUS (funny), how can you be wrong when you are stating your opinion??? Even you're entitled to that.

The greatest football game I have ever watched. I went through so much emotion that day. I had a house full of eagles fans which would have made it worse if we had lost. I will never forget that feeling. I want to feel it again. :)

BTW, I also have never watched the SB again. Way too painful.
