#AZCardinals put G Earl Watford (hand) on IR, promote S D.J. Swearinger from practice squad. Guess it was serious. #MINvsAZ

Down goes our only decent backup T (who's really a G).

Was this something he injured a while ago or did he do it today in practice? I though we were just doing walk-throughs with the short week. If it was a while ago then that might explain why Massie has continued to start.

wonder if our first round pick will actually start making the 53 man roster. The idea that Sowell could be in any way shape or form better then him says nothing good about that pick.

Wonder if Humphries will finally be active on game day with Watford being the b/u RT.

I'm guessing yes. Hopefully Watford didn't hurt his hand answering a phone

This doesn't really change much... Watford & Humphries were inactive most games with Sowell backing up T, Cooper now backing up both G spots & Shipley backing up C.

Obviously, we'd all like an upgrade over Sowell just in case he ever has to play in a game, but hopefully it never gets to that.

According to BA & Goodwin Humphries has made progress in the last couple of months. Sowell does have experience.

And we all know experience trumps talent under Arians.

I noticed Sowell going to the locker room Sunday with an injury. What happened?

Yes, but he also plays Ted Larson over Cooper.

This thought is rampant on this board. Larson did a nice job filling in for Iupati early, and is doing fine now. I think I just saw us run for 176 yards with our #3 and #4 RB.

"In Bruce we trust, except that we have to bitch about something, and so we will hang our hat on the Right Guard Position." Seriously, of the 22 positions on offense and defense, Right Guard is probably the least important.

If Arians thinks we are better served with veterans than underperforming young players on the OL, then I'm not going to question him. That's Bruce 31-14 Arians. (31-11 without Lindley as his QB)

Also, when you look at the injuries around the league, I don't think it's worth getting our panties in a bunch over the Backup RT, who is really the 4th Guard. I like Watford, but he's just not that important right now.

I couldn't agree more and this is an embarrassment of riches when everyone is upset that a guy who wasn't on the active roster this last week is now on IR and we act as if the season is over lol.

He is our key backup...any further injuries to a starter and it will spell trouble.
