In order of extreme importance, at present what 3 positions are most important for us to make sure we hit on?
From what you have seen so far, which of the 3 rounds might we expect to fill each?

It seems to me that it could go:
R1. CB
R2. RB
R3. DL

If we Trade Back and pick up a second R2 &/or R3:

Late R1 or early R2: CB
Mid to Late R2: RB + OL
R3: DT + E/DE/LB

5. TE or Anyone of above not taken yet (I sort of like Zach Davidson, TE from Central Missouri)
7. C/OG or Anyone of above not taken yet

FA get OG or OC + LB + RB
1. CB or WR if a quality prospect is there or trader back in R1 for additional R2 or R3 pick.
2. Whichever you didn't get in R1 (CB or WR)
3. BPA at RB, OC, OG or LB

Of course it depends on who's available. If i had a preference I’d go

1 CB
2 OL
3 RB

Terrible draft for DT. They got to keep Reddick.

I would seriously consider Najee Harris if he’s on the board at #16. Thoughts?

The problem is that keim is such a bad drafter , I'd rather go with the sure thing at wr or TE..

Anything else is a crap shoot

In whichever round so long as they’re best available at the pick

we need a team identity and with Kyler on the team it only makes sense that identity is offense

the bend don’t break defense is nothing to build an identity around

4. 2 & 3 could change depending on who is signed during the FA period? We won't sign or trade for a #1 CB during the FA period because it will cost too much. PP is done as a #1 CB so we need to draft one now.

I try to figure out where we can get top 2-3 guys at their positions as far into the draft as possible.

At 16 we might get Pitts, who is the #1 TE...we could probably take the top interior lineman...We could probably be top 3 in WR...maybe CB?

OT, CB, RB. WR’s should be free agents since Keim misses on every receiver he drafts.

We all know Keim just going to upgrade his PFF subscription to Elite for better results :hacker:

1. PFF Draft Big Board
2. PFF Draft Big Board
3. PFF Draft Big Board

Number of sure 1st round players at each position that I feel would be worth taking at Pick 16 or sooner:

QB. 3
RB. 2
WR. 4
TE. 1
OT. 2
OG/C. 3
DT. 1
Edge/DE. 3
OLB. 2
ILB. 2
CB. 2
S. 1

Since the team goes as KM goes, this club has got to build a better O-line. That said, SK’s track record when drafting O-lineman is fairly dreadful. Hmmm...another solid WR perhaps and some secondary help?

I wouldn't call it dreadful. Hard to evaluate his drafting of OL because he's only taken 2 early in Humphries and Cooper. Humphries has been a hit and Cooper was considered a sure fire hit by about everybody. Hope the 3rd rounder from last year works out.

Absolutely 1000% agree. Fix the offensive side of the ball ASAP.
1. Interior OL
2. WR or RB (depends on who is there)
3. WR or RB (whatever position we didn’t take in round 2)

We need a #2 Wr that is a bigger target in the worse way. Kirk , Issabella, Johnson can all fill in at the slot.
We need a youngest of legs at rb to go along with Edmonds and a bulky free agent( Mark Ingram?)

This offense has to take a big step forward to carry this team and ease some pressure off the defense. We can’t have games where the TOP was 38 minutes to 22.

Good point. I reacted too quickly.
