I think the Arizona HC job is a plum job. The support from the FO is outstanding...the fan base is electric...and the location is attractive.
FO support may be ok, but execution is hit or miss. It is a league average FO IMO.
Fan base...average at best.
Location...one of the better ones.

Garappolo has proven nothing
Wilson is good but not great and relies on his legs too much.
Prescott is showing that he needs Elliott in order to be effective but the jury is still out on him.
Cousins is mediocre at best.

Now to answer your question, the answer is yes to both. Teams get lucky. Brady, Warner, Romo, are hall of famers or who have put up hall of fame numbers who were either drafted late or not drafted at all. Then you have high draft picks who looked like world beaters in college who were drafted high but who were bums in the NFL(Vince Young, David Klingler, Akili Smith, Andre Ware, Ryan Leaf, JaMarcus Russell). As for us, yes Leenart was a bust but he started out with promise. Whiz literally killed this kid's career.

Wilson is great. His OL sucks and even though with his height he needs to roll out for a better view, the guy can throw on par with most of the best QBs in the NFL. Wilson is basically carrying his teams to victories, that is a great QB. Fran Tarkenton ran a lot but was a great QB, Wilson is a modern day version of him. How can you say he relies on his legs too much when the results are wins. He is not like Gabbert, when he rolls out he looks to throw and he is accurate. Maybe I am wrong about him being great... he is actually amazing

Seattle's O-line is statistically middle of the pack and LT Duane Brown hasn't given up a sack is 6 starts.

Buy on the way up is a time tested maxim. Cardinals don't seem to have bottomed yet.

BTW;

I am not surprised that Bill O'Brien of Houston is on the endangered species list.

So, do the Cards then lose all arguments because we have the longest championship drought in all professional sports?

What talent have we developed?

We don't always draft well.

I think you are confusing which place is the better situation with which place has the best likelihood of succeeding. The Browns have a better opportunity to improve, but the Cardinals have shown that they are more likely to improve.

Again...

Better draft picks = edge Browns
Better young talent = edge Browns
Better offensive line = edge Browns
Easier division = edge Browns
Easier conference = edge Browns
Lower expectations = edge Browns

*sighs*

Tony Romo and his two playoff victories = Hall of Fame?

Not in a million years.

Actually, I want to hear you call out the "New Cardinal fans" who are disagreeing with you and joined this board 2 and a half years before you did some more. That was a pretty stupid comment. I don't know how long you have been a fan. You don't know how long I have been a fan. But to use an unknown time as a fan to attempt to prove a disagreeing argument wrong really highlights how thin your position is.

Actually it's pretty easy to spot who's a newer fan and who's not for the most part. This team has pretty much been pathetic outside of the last 10 years and has seen some very very dark days but you hear fans talk about how bad we are now when it's clear they have no idea how bad it used to be.

He’s not a OC, but I really like Steve Wilks out of Carolina. He’s similar to Bowles where the defense loves to blitz ya. Plays a lot of man & Carolina DLine has been absolutely magnificent, probably the best under Rivera. He used to be the DB coach & was heavily responsible for Josh Norman’s emergence. He’s only 48. Not too old.

There’s just not too many OCs out there that interest me right now. Don’t like McDaniels or Jim Bob Cooter. John Morton & Shurmur probably the only guys I would take a look back.
