he our biggest bargaining chip in years perhaps forever,
the cowpukes the redskins or the raiders would give up the farm for him,
and probably more other teams than i can recall

Did you just call Q a bargaining chip?

You better hide. Q WILL MAKE YOU PAY! :mulli:

Cowboys don't even have a 1st round pick this year, Redskins would have to offer 3-4 1st round picks because they will all be in the 20s or later, Raiders are the only ones who could potentially give us a deal we'd like. Even then I'd only consider it if they agree to part with their CB (I can't spell his name) and picks.

Additionally, the only way it is practical to try to switch to a run oriented team is if we can get an elite defense. You can't commit to the run if your team is constantly giving up points.

say what you want but running backs which essentially what Q is with wideout speed don't have long careers and Q has taken some of the most punishing blows and flat out run over people for years now it has and will continue to take a toll on his body

he will be an average player in a couple more years mark my words

You can't compare a WR to a RB at all, regardless of style. A top wideout will touch the ball 6-10 times on a good day. A running back will get about 20-25 carries. Anquan's bruising style is him beating up on 190 lb defensive backs that he's bigger than. That's a lot different than a running back getting sandwiched between 250 lb linebackers. A RB will get hit by 2-4 people just to gain 1 yard, no WR takes that kind of abuse.

My point is that paying Dansby a lot more than what other inside linebackers makes no sense IMO. He's good, but he's inconsistent, witness the disappearance in Philly. He flashes talent, but not consistently from game to game. IMO, the money he wants is better spent elsewhere. At the right price I'd bring him back, and that price is in the Lance Briggs range, not the Calvin Pace range.

I don't have the confidence in the Graves drafting ability to trade Q for draft picks. He's liable to cough up two picks and we end up with another Alan Branch. Outside of Larry Fitzgerald(who was a Denny Green pick), the guy has reached for need and/or come up with duds in the first round. (Rolle,Brown, etc.) Boldin is a solid talent. What Graves picks in his place is a gigantic crapshoot and a too big a leap of faith for me.

i actually pretty much agree with EVERYTHING you said.

hey assface in this case i delieve you can he has run out of the offense many times and then theres this

from Boldin’s long run of statistical excellence (last December he became the fastest player in NFL history to reach 400 receptions, accomplishing the feat in 67 games) to the crushing blocks he puts on opposing linebackers on the backside of running plays or on passes thrown Fitzgerald’s way.

i love Q and i love his heart and what he's done for us, but you can't look at him as a wide receiver he said it himself he's a football player, he's more like a running back than anything and his best years are behind him, YOU HEARD THAT RIGHT!

This is what happened to the Cardinals 10 years ago. We make the play-off then the Cardinal Brain Trust. We lost the following season Jimar Miller, Lomas Brown, the best LT we have ever had here in the Desert, Lost Larry Centers to name a few and now it has taken us 10 years to get back in the play-offs again....!!!!!!!!!! Dam Guys keep your best players cut dead wood like Rolle, and Edge and resign and restructure other players contracts and The Cards will some day make the Super Bowl. Not the way you want to do it. Please haven't we learned our lessons from our past.

Amen. However, I wouldn't call Rolle dead weight anymore I think he has shown to be adequate at FS this year IMO.
