I would also hope if we win the coin toss we won't defer this time.

I don't get Whiz, I know we have a good defense and I guess he thinks getting it first to start the 2nd half is better, but game after game he defers.

Take the ball first and try to get a lead.

I really liked the decision to defer against the Seahawks. At home with a pumped up fan base and the D was more than ready to rumble.

It would have been nice to come out to start the 2nd half with more than a 3 and out.

I agree that I would elect to receive if we win the coin toss against the Pats.
No reason to give the Pats first bite at the apple with their Offense playing so well.

I don't think it will be that bad for some reason, and let's face it...if we beat the Pats we are going to the superbowl!!! :D I see a semi-close first half with the Pats being up by around 10 points. Second half is when we have to worry, they make adjustments while we tape up boo-boos. I seriously doubt we win but it aint impossible, stranger things have happened. Go Cards!!

We hardly rattled a rookie yesterday... Brady will have a field day for sure...

In the end, this will come down to our offense and their ability to keep Brady off the field.
To say that the weight of this game is all on Kolb would be a huge understatement.
He is going to have find ways to convert on 3rd downs - a lot!
I really don't see our running game being materially any better than it was yesterday. The Pats look to be pretty damn stout againt the run.
So, what type of passing scheme can Whiz & Co. put together that would grind up a lot of clock, keep the chains moving and keep Brady on his arse on the sidelines???
Which also means we will need to be flawless and NOT turn the ball over!
If the Pats end up with 12 or more possessions, I would think the game will be a classic blowout... as Brady will score on more than half of those possessions.
If the Pats have less than 12... well, ok... it will still be ugly... just not as ugly I guess. ;)

Just the opposite. If they beat us 47-7, we are going to the Superbowl.:D

New England's O-line is a mess right now. We will probably get plenty of penetration... but he is much better at attacking a blitz than that midget from Seattle. Our corners are going to have to play well and prevent the big plays. If we can do that we could make a game of it.

But the more likely scenario, judging by the Cards history on East coast trips, is we commit 4 first half turnovers and trail 27-7 at the half.

Wow! I hope it's that close at halftime!! ;)

Seriously, I can see Peterson having at least 4 PI's in the first half alone... :bang:

This thread might set a record for most negativity. Holy crap.

I'll predict an upset. Have some faith, people.
