First of all, let's not panic, losing to the Honets and Mavs in back to back away game sets r not so unacceptable. Trouble now is much better than March or April, we have plenty of time to fix things.

According to my observation, we r terribly short handed at 2.

I dont mind Dirk to score 39, didn't Amare had 28 and Diaw 11? They were pretty much countered out. But Berea's 18 and Terry's 19 was what killed us. Bell and Barbosa combined 9 points for 55 minutes, didn't do anything noticable at either end of floor. That's part of the reason why Dragic got some playing time.

It was not just this game. Bell's defence has declined dramatically, he is no longer the lock down defender we could count on. I feel so sorry for Barbosa's mother, but the fact is he can't give us much right now.

Not long ago, we thought Bell + Barbosa gave us very solid depth at 2. Maybe it is time to admit otherwise. Inconsistency and lack of defence is what I notice most about them. I saw Porter use Hill at 2 occasionally, but he is not good enough to defend fast guards, nor good enough in shooting 3.

Could Tucker return soon to give us some help? Or, can we find some1 cheap from FA market?

U can always find a dozen problems after lost 4 in a row. It is too easy to blame coach porter, or GM Kerr, or leading stars Amare/Nash/Shaq. But it is unrealistic to change any of them, nor would it guarantee to improve the team. We do need to be fixed, but not a throw down.

Bell has not been the defender of old for all season. There is a reason we give up more points from out guard spots then any team in the NBA. Anybody who can rationally defend Bell right now is out of their mind. I have counted 2 solid defensive efforts out of him in the last 2 to 3 weeks...the rest have been horrid.

Bell needs to go to the bench.

Before we go crazy at bashing Bell, look at the box score on NBA.com. He was one of our only players with a positive +/- for the game. I don't think he was the problem.

But I turned the game off before half time, so maybe I'm wrong.

Why didn't Nash come back in the fourth quarter?

Bell's not a problem? LMAO. He's a shooting guard and he doesn't score. That's a pretty big problem IMHO.

That +/- is far from accurate determine a player's contribution. U have to consider the position matchup. In ur memory, what was the last time that Bell had a good defensive performance against a top scoring SG?

Neither Nash nor Amare played the 4th, because the Mavs were up 20 some, and Amare had his 5th foul late in 3rd.

He's A problem, but he's not even close to being THE problem. He wasn't the reason we got blown out.

Porter, Amare (only 5 rebounds again, man), the System, Team chemistry, the Back-up point guard situation, team energy, and Barbosa are all much bigger concerns. The game was pretty much over when Bell left at the end of the first quarter with a 5 point deficit and came back into the game on the second quarter with a 21 POINT DEFICIT. So IMO it's a little foolish to be talking about Bell tonight.

Wow, Porter gives up too easily. That's just sad. The Mavs were up by about the same number in the fourth quarter of the classic 2OT game from a years ago before we came back to win it.

The Mavs are famous for choking away huge fourth quarter leads. Especially against us.

Porters rotations suck, and imo he does give up way to early. Everyone should have been playing all night it was a big game in the sence we need a win badly can't just keep losing.

Yesterday on the Planet Orange post game show they were saying the Suns should sign a point guard to backup Nash.

When he floored Kobe in the playoffs.

He still does a good job at guarding Kobe. I remember that being one of the few positives from the game against the Lakers this year.

What to do with Bell and Barbosa is not a problem for us, or not even for the coach, leave them to GM Kerr and BOSS Sarvar. We can keep both of them. We just need some fresh blood. See how well Barnes is doing? We simply need another Barnes who fit SG position better.

Consider the luxry tax issue, especially at this moment, it is impossible for the Suns to spent a lot of money for a FA. The most realistic hope maybe Tucker makes an early return ... Is there any update on him?

In the last telecast I think the announcer mentioned Tucker was close to being allowed to practice. He should be able to play soon after that.
