By all accounts I have read, Moss was an ideal teammate in NE. He just wanted a new contract and that's not how NE operates. I don't see what he said so bad in Minny to get him waived. Why wouldn't they want his input on NE, the guy just played the last few years over there and the whole team has no respect for Chidress. All that being said, it would be nice to add him to the Cards WR corp but it's never going to happen.

But can anybody honestly seeing Moss get along with Singletary?

The first time Randy jogged on a route that he wasn't the target on, or faked an injury and limped(he does it constantly), Singletary would bench him for the rest of the game.

I could see Seattle, Moss' agent said they already called, Carroll is willing to take people like that because he's convinced he can get them to play for him. Sometimes he can, sometimes he can't.

One of the comments apparently from Vikings insiders off the record is the coaches decided they didn't want their young stars like Peterson, Rice and Harvin to be around Moss, they thought he was already making a bad influence on them.

I do remember another stud WR who was a bad influence on one of our young RBs contributing to said RBs under performing in Arizona but doing very well elsewhere.

Apparently there's some dispute what actually happened but I saw one report that said Moss actually refused to talk to the vikings about the Patriots. Ironically given all their illegally taping other teams stuff in the past, the claim is Moss refused to talk about that stuff. Then when he was in front of the media he said the exact opposite to make the coaching staff look bad.

It's hard to know who is right though because it's pretty clear nobody on that roster wants Childress anymore.

I do know Moss completely gave up on that PI play, he could have caught that pass for a TD easily if he'd tried.

I'm rarely on board with a Cards_Campos idea but I do think the Cardinals could benefit from having Randy Moss. We don't have that deep threat guy.

My biggest concern with bringing someone like Moss in would be in Breaston seeing the bench more. Despite missing a few games, Breaston has been the offensive MVP of the team so far this year.

Personally, I'd prefer to see a lot more 2TE sets with only 2WR, or 1TE with a FB, but since Whis insists on having 3-4 WR on the field at a time; then I would like to add the deep threat. Moss would command a CB and over the top help on almost every passing play, and DA missing Moss deep is just an incomplete pass rather than a tipped interception.
Your biggest fear is my greatest upside. What does moving Breaston back to the 3 spot do? Puts him back at punt returner...

True, but it also gives Whis more of reason to use the 3-4WR sets, and I'd prefer the Cards worked away from those.

Randy Moss is a shell of his former self. He no longer has the top end speed that made him so dangerous.

Now factor in:

He won't go across the middle
He is non existant blocking and refuses to get his hands dirty
He takes plays off
He wears down as he game progresses
He is a major distraction

Randy Moss would be a terrible pick up for this team. Unless he can play QB I see no way we put in a claim for him.

Yeah. Less throwing, more running.

But Whiz won't stop. We had 2 UDFA receivers a few weeks ago starting and he threw more than he ran. He had Max Hall start this week after a horrendous week in Seattle and again made Hall throw all over the place.

Whiz would give Matches to a Pyromaniac.

And before people pile on...listen why. Because addition by subtraction. Meaning we don't want Seattle or the Rams to get him. And alos...Moss, Fitzgerald and Breasten is off the charts good. Put DA in there where his strength is DEEP PASSES DEEP PASSES....Let Randy do what he wants...Just run Straight Deep Post Patterns.....YOU CANT single cover him and that would open up huge RUNNING lanes......I think it would be a great move . He knows Fitz real well...And we use the deep ball. Fitz would even get open...Who do you cover???? And DA can't OVERTHROW Randy Moss!

We would be crazy to take this man. Who is going to throw to him? Ever who takes him will pay his giant salary. The Bidwills do not take people with character problems as serious as his. He would not improve our won/lost record. He would do more damage than good. Surely you jest?

Now that the Titans got Randy....Everyone now says the Titans are going to be tough to beat. Chris Johnson now will get 200 yards a game....The players from the Titans said among many great things..." Thank you Jesus" "I ran around the house like a little kid"

This is why I don't understand why no one would acquire him and why we didnt try. HE COULD HAVE ONLY helped and since he was waived he was pretty cheap. I mean every NFL expert said and they are right. He takes the best CB and a safety with him on every play. You have to double him...because of the threat alone. That would have left Fitz and Breaston to run amok..and it would have opened up the running game.

I mean every player in the NFL likes Randy and wants him. The Vikings over reacted and by some of the Viking players reactions they dont side with the coach. The owner is pissed...and the only team that could get away with this is the Patriots and now make it seem Randy is useless. Dumb. Titans will beat the Patriots now in the playoffs.

No way. How quickly do you think he would have turned into Randy Moss from Oakland instead of Randy Moss from NE? Probably after about a half a practice of Scud throwing him "bombs" with no loft under them that get batted down and he probably wouldn't even acknowledge Hall.

The dude is a cancer on teams that can't do exactly what he wants to do. He's not playing ball to make a team better, he's playing ball for teams that make HIM look better.

Moss in AZ would be a failed experiment.

See, I disagree. While he's not what he was 5 years ago talent-wise, he's still the best deep-ball receiver in the game. He can still do the things to defenses that he used to ...he just doesn't do them as well as he used to (but that's only relative to himself--relative to the rest of the NFL, he's still the best at it).

That said, see my post above.

You way overvalue Moss IMO.

This is the best Deep ball WR in the game right now. Doesn't give you much else though.

I would also say that this guy is better:

You may even be able to make a case for this guy being better at this point in time. He has become a real deep threat this season.

Shane, you may have a point with Jackson, but I don't think Lloyd or Wallace are better. Still, even if we accept the premise that these guys are better, if Moss is in the top-4 doesn't that still make him a guy who will change the way a defense plays?

And that's what the vikings players did and then the raiders and then the patriots and then the vikings again and I think I see a trend here.

Because you are smarter then 31 other teams.

Well NE and Brady didn't want him or they wouldn't have traded him. Same with the Raiders and well I already covered this.

The Titans are hurting (injuries) in the WR department just as the Vikings were when they traded for him. Fischer is a great HC who has completed command of his players and the locker room. It's a calculated risk just as it was for the Patriots when they traded for him.

Moss like TO like Marshall all have a psychological issue. They don't try to be idiots and never thing they are idiots but most of us see they have issues.
