The fun part of free agency is over and it's a good time to focus on what the Buffalo Bills will do next month at the 2025 NFL Draft in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

To gain insight on the choices the Bills could face during the crucial first and second days of the draft, we've begun simulating all seven rounds of the draft. This week we are using Pro Football Network's draft simulator.

The way we see it, the Bills' major needs are on defense: tackle, cornerback, edge rusher, safety and linebacker. On offense, quarterback Josh Allen could really use an X receiver to be the team's primary deep threat.

This year's draft class is deep at DT, EDGE, CB and, to a lesser extent, wide receiver, according to CBS Sports.

It'll be a waiting game for Buffalo on Day 1 as they wait to see which first-round targets fall to them at No. 30. Day 2 brings two crucial second-round picks. Day 3 has the majority of picks, with two in the fourth, three in the fifth and two in the sixth round.

We simulated four seven-round drafts, with the first pick focused on CB, DT, EDGE and wide receiver. While BIlls GM Brandon Beane is a wheel-and-dealer on draft day, we kept it simple with no trades.

Mock draft 1: Bills grab WR Luther Burden III

While defense is the bigger need, the Bills should kiss their lucky charms if Burden falls to them in the first round. The Missouri wide receiver has five-star athleticism and great playmaking ability, according to his NFL.com prospect page. NFL analyst Lance Zierlein says Burden is comparable to Garrett Wilson, a receiver who's logged three successive 1,000-yard seasons with the New York Jets.

After taking a shot at dramatically improving their offense, we'd see the Bills using their next four picks to shore up the defense.

Luther Burden is debatably WR1 of the 2025 class. He is a who plays for the Missouri Tigers and has been one of the most explosive and productive players in college football. Mock draft 2: Bills shore up defensive line with DT Walter Nolen

Kenneth Grant was already gone, so we focused on Nolen. While veteran Bills writer Sal Maiorana worries about his size, it's hard not to love his explosiveness.

Nobody questions how talented he is and how hard he plays. Super twitched up and really explosive,” one NFC scout told NFL.com.

Walter Nolen is a DOMINANT run defender and flashes excellence as a pass rusher

Nolen posted 72 stops while only missing 5 tackles in his college career. He’s also posted 67 pressures and 14 total sacks.

After Nolen, the focus switched to Iowa State wide receiver Jayden Higgins before turning back to defense with S Andrew Mukuba, EDGE Jack Sawyer and CB Mello Dotson.

Mock draft 3: Bills focus on edge rusher

Let's face it, its hard to resist taking a shot at landing a potentially dominant edge rusher to work alongside Greg Rousseau, AJ Epenesa and Joe Bosa. If you like hard-charging pass-rusher, look no further than Marshall's Mike Green fits the bill. NFL.com's Lance Zierlein says he's comparable to the Pittsburgh Steelers Alex Highsmith.

Several newcomers in my updated top-50, including Marshall edge rusher Mike Green (6-3 1/4, 250).

Explosive off the snap, relentless motor and more physical vs. the run than expected. Stock player.

Stunningly, somehow Michigan DT Grant fell to the second round and the Bills scooped him up in the second round. It doesn't feel like that will happen in real life.

Mock draft: Bills focus grab a cornerback in the first round

This seems like the least likely scenario. With all the quality defensive tackles and edge rushers, the Bills would be better served improving their defensive line to help with run and pass defense. Plus, if Buffalo gets lucky in the second round, they still could end up with a decent defensive back (safety or corner) in the second round.

In this scenario, the Bills picked Notre Dame's Benjamin Morrison in the first round and they can grab virtual edge rusher Landon Jackson in the second. The downside is that DT doesn't get addressed until the fourth round.
