I don't think Sproles is playing and he's been pretty good. Either way, I'm confident in the Cards defense to play well against Kelly's gimmicks.

Don't know if this has been posted, but in order for us to win, we have to come up with a pass rush. With no John Abraham or CC, I haven't seen much pressure, as of yet.

Sproles suffered a partial MCL tear and is going to be out for a while. That said, the key to beating Philly is to force Foles into mistakes while minimizing yours. Also, real key is minimizing their 3 headed TE with Ertz, Celek, and Casey. All 3 played really well against the Giants. On offense, gotta keep Barwin away from Palmer. He's been a beast on their line. They have 19 sacks to our 7 so we need to watch their line. Their DB's are average at best. They can be run on. Ellington needs to have the same game as yesterday. The offense definitely needs to play better and have more sustained drives. If they don't have the ball, they can't score, right? We are equal teams and this is a winnable game and we need to pay last year back. Poetic justice would be for HB to have a pick 6.

That's because they have about 7 TD's in special teams and defensive returns. Their offense has really been pretty pedestrian. Foles and McCoy haven't, as of yet, lived up to their pre-season expectations.

I don't think Philly scored an offensive TD against San Francisco either.

Looking at offensive numbers. Philly 14 TDs, 5.5 yards per play. Arizona 12 TDs, 5.0 yards per play...with a back up QB playing 3 games.

% of the number of drives ending with an offensive score Phi 34.7%--AZ 39.7%

This vaunted Philly offense is a myth.

One of the first times I've had this thought as a Cardinals fan, but I think our DC and HC are going to have fun game-planning for the opponent this week.

I don't know what's going to happen, so I'll favor the Cards by 3 as the home team and expect a great game...

Philly is a very average Defense. 15th against the run, 16th against the pass. (That's the definition of "average", isn't it?"

I think the Cards have to pound the ball and keep their offense off the field. We don't want our defensive personnel dealing with the hurry-up offense for the bulk of the game. The offense has to give our D long breaks.

They didn't score an offensive point against SF. They should have but they decided to go all Andy Reid when on the 2 yard line. The Eagles have played 1 game where they clicked on all cylinders and that was last week. They struggled in week 1 against the Jags, relied on a bit of luck @ Indy(no pun intended), then gave up a ton of points to the Deadskins, lost to the 9ers, and had to hold on to beat the Rams after being up 34-7. They are beatable and remember, their DC is Bill Davis so you can score on them.

The opening line in Vegas has the Cards as a 2.5 point favorite so you are pretty much in line with their thinking on this one.

Key to beating the Eagles is ball control. Keep it away from their offense so that our D doesn't get gassed.

This is the real reason BA ran so much this week--to prepare the men for the grind about to come against Philly.

It's also why we saw so much Taylor. BA is going to shove it down their throats.

Calling this week's game plan bad is actually the opposite of what it was. He was game planning for Philly against Oakland. BA gonna bring the pain.

BA should activate Grice and use a 3 headed rushing attack against the Eagles.

Why would you expect BA to show his whole variety of offensive plays BEFORE playing the upper level teams such as the Eagles, Cowboys, and other divisional foes?

Here is a reminder, a win by a single point counts the same as winning by a hundred. Style points don't count and neither does fantasy football silliness and ideas (fantasy football is the same as playing with dolls - there is no relevance to real pro football).

+1. It's amazing how Arians mind works. You can see him poke and prod the opposition looking for weaknesses during the first part of the game and when he finds something, he immediately exploits it. I know some people might not be happy about not using all of his weapons, but he goes with the hand that is working at that point in time. As you are saying, the object is to win. Arians could care less about individual stats and I do believe that mindset fits most of our players also. They want to win more than achieve individual glory.

Our defense seems to run along those same lines. They try different stunts and blitzes during the first half; make adjustments and then really clamp down in the second half. Except for the Denver game, the defense rarely allows points in the 4th quarter. My personal opinion is that our secondary should perform better than they have considering the talent, but our front seven are excellent at stopping the run. This is spite of a great loss of talent at those positions. They didn't come up with excuses or point fingers at others for their problems. They just performed and helped this team to win games.

Anyway, great team win on Sunday and regardless of what anyone says, we have an excellent chance of beating the Eagles this coming week due to having home field advantage.

We are 12 and frickin' 3 in our last 15 games.

Bruce, if you read this board please ignore this post.

I trust BA.

We cannot even slay a minor monster at TE and now we have to face the dreaded three headed one? May the football gods save us from the Ertzlekcasey TE which breaths fire and has pointy teeth lol

To be honest, Ertz is bascally a threat all on his own. Celek has been relegated to blocking TE. Casey is pretty good though. I would love to see Bowles game plan against this. Take away the passing lanes and allow the line to get to Foles. This will make Foles make mistakes. Keep the blitzes to a minimum and defend against the pass. The blitzes aren't working anyway so why waste the energy.

Calling my shot now. If Arians keeps up his best Whiz impression with this garbage play calling. We will not keep up with a real offense of we don't figure out how to use all of our alleged weapons. Especially with our lazy corners #21 and #31.
