Been rumored for weeks and has to be one of the more predictable outcomes in recent recruiting history. It was really obvious they weren't going to play enough at UNC and it's another example of people believing what they want and not looking at reality. When UCLA and UA recruited the Wears out of HS they both reportedly told them they saw them as 4's who might even play some 5. The dad made it clear he saw his sons as being able to play together one at the 4, one at the 3, and apparently Roy Williams convinced him that could happen at UNC. So they spent the season both playing backup minutes at the 4, UNC brings in Harrison Barnes at the 3, and predictably they transfer.

Nobody is listing favorites yet it has been rumored for weeks on UCLA boards they will go to UCLA. I didn't want them out of HS and still don't, taking 2 4's when you already have Nelson and Lane who IMHO are both already better makes no sense. If they do wind up at UCLA I would bet one of Lane and Nelson will wind up leaving. The connection at the time was Daniels he knew the dad for years so I could see them looking at Gonzaga and I wouldn't rule out Stanford either they may want to reunite with Andy Brown.

I know USC will pursue, not sure UA will IIRC that was before Miller was there I don't think they fit the type of player Miller wants. I would assume Cal, ASU will also try to get involved they're not great players but they're certainly Pac 10 level players who could start as juniors and seniors for a lot of schools(one of them could at least).

Carolina boards have been denying the rumor for weeks but their dad said he asked for the release maybe as soon as tomorrow.

With Williams and either Horne/Hill/Parrom I don't think UA really needs them unless Eloy Vargas does not commit and the need for depth arises but I don't see UA wasting schollies on them.

ASU is probably the team that needs them the most if Kuksis returns to Europe, ASU has no depth in the frontcourt and could offer starting spots for them at the 3 & 4.

Remember when Howland actually recruited tough players? He's turning into post-Christine Lute Olson.

Carlino and the Wears as your 2011 newcomers. That's just awful if you have UCLA on your jersey.

Yeah I want no part of the Wears but it is rumored Ben will take them if they pick UCLA.

Id hope ASU would pursue them, they've got to be upgrades over ASUs pretty shabby front court options at the moment. Sendeks had trouble finding a PF to replace Pendergraph, and these guys could fill the bill. Though I imagine since ASU/Sendek weren't in on them initially it would be a tough task getting them here.

Depends, the dad was quoted as saying he imagined UCLA would be interested, beyond that they haven't said a thing until they get a release. IT's believed they want to play in the Pac 10, I would think this time around they will pay more attention to playing time and ASU has that to offer right now.

I would expect Cal and Stanford to get involved too. The real problem with the Wears is simple, there are 2 of them and most teams don't want to use 2 rides on identical players with a loaded 2012 coming up.
