I think this is a pretty logical draft where we end up getting Sean Weatherspoon. I'm still holding out hope. Any thoughts?

1) St. Louis - Sam Bradford QB
2) Detroit - Russell Okung OT
3) Tampa - Ndamukong Suh DT
4) Washington - Jimmy Clausen QB
5) K.C. - Bryan Bulaga OT
6) Seattle - Gerald McCoy DT
7) Cleveland - Eric Berry FS
8) Oakland - Trent Williams OT
9) Buffalo - Dez Bryant WR
The Bills desperately need a WR and it's too soon for Anthony Davis.
10) Jacksonville - Joe Haden CB
11) Denver - Rolando McClain ILB
12) Miami - Jason Pierre-Paul DE
13) San Francisco - Anthony Davis OT
14) Seattle - C.J. Spiller RB
15) NY Giants - Dan Williams DT
16) San Francisco - Earl Thomas S
17) Tennessee - Derrick Morgan DE
18) Pittsburgh - Maurkice Pouncey OC/OG
19) Atlanta - Brandon Graham DE
Dimitrioff is big on positional value so they go with DE here and look for a LB later on..
20) Houston - Kyle Wilson CB
21) Cincinatti - Jermaine Gresham TE
22) New England - Sergio Kindle OLB
23) Green Bay - Charles Brown OT
24) Philadelphia - Mike Iupati OG
The Eagles usually draft linemen early and Iupati will really help the interior of their line.
25) Baltimore - Jared Odrick DT
26) Arizona - Sean Weatherspoon ILB
27) Dallas - Taylor Mays SS
28) San Diego - Ryan Matthews RB
29) NY Jets - Demaryius Thomas WR
30) Minnesota - Devin McCourty CB
32) Indianapolis - Brian Price DT
31) New Orleans - Everson Griffen DE

I am not quite as sure as you are, but it's looking less likely every day. We need to hope that a few players such as Maurkice Pouncey, Demaryius (that is how you spell it) Thomas, Charles Brown, Jared Odrick, Ryan Matthews, Golden Tate, etc... get drafted in the top 25. They are players not really in a position of need for us that allow some of the great players, at a position of need, to fall to us.

I've been hearing more and more that if Iupati and Weatherspoon are on the board, the pick is Iupati.

The only thing guaranteed leading up to the draft is that anything can happen during the draft. People said the same thing about Beanie last year, you never know.

There is a chance (slim) that Weatherspoon falls to us. No chance that McClain does, IMO. Also, you have the Giants taking Dan Williams, who I like, and I doubt they will. He's a 3-4 NT and the Giants play a 4-3. But like my wife says, what do I know.

And where might you be hearing this? I haven't heard it at all, and the guys reporting on this board usually catch the tiniest rumors. I don't think there's a snowball's chance in hell that happens.

I think it's pure speculation to think Weatherspoon or McClain is there at #26. Given the major needs at those positions by the Gmen, Iggles, Ravens, Broncos, Titans & Weatherspoons ability to play both ILB & out, the chances aren't good.

This.

We are not alone in needing help at linebacker.

This.

Plus I would sue the Cardinals for the cost of the cleaning bill it would take to professional get my carpet cleaned after I throw up some 5 layer burritos all over it.

Actually, I think it's the opposite. I think Williams would fit better as a 4-3 NT

A lot of it comes down to positional value. On draft day Linemen typically go higher than expected and linebackers typically fall. Besides,
this whole process is pure speculation.

All draft gurus are also meteorologists.

Big difference in Wells and Weatherspoon is that BW had issues that caused him to drop. SW doesn't.

We should do draft talk like Meteorologists. Talk in terms of big windows and percentages.

There is a 10% chance of rain today. There could be anywhere from 1 inch to 10 inches of snow today.

NT = 3-4
DT = 4-3

From Wikipedia:

4-3
In a traditional 4-3 defensive set, the term "nose tackle" could be (but is not usually) used to describe one of the two defensive tackles, usually on the weak side of the offensive line. His job is to take up the center and weak-side or pulling guard so that the smaller 'rush' end has a 1-on-1 matchup with the offense's blindside tackle. The second defensive tackle sometimes referred to as an 'under tackle', takes up the strongside guard and the strongside end takes up the strongside offensive tackle. More modern, cover 2 schemes include either four smaller, athletic linemen, like Tony Dungy's scheme, developed in Tampa Bay; or two small, athletic ends and two nose tackles, like the scheme used by the Baltimore Ravens during their 2000 championship season. Other examples of some players playing this position in this scheme are Gilbert Brown, who won Super Bowl XXXI with the Green Bay Packers, Jerry Ball, and Ted Washington.

We tried the angle on the centre NT formation back in the Green days, and it simply did not work. Others may see Cody in that role, but for the Cards, he'd be a straight up NT in a 3-4.
