Week 15 Elimination Scenarios

With the loss to New England, the Cardinals will be officially eliminated from playoff contention in Week 15 with:

ARI loss
-OR-
SEA win + WSH win*
-OR-
SEA win + NYG win*
-OR-
ARI tie + SEA win/tie
-OR-
ARI tie + NYG/WSH tie

*The Giants and Commanders play each other next Sunday night, so if Seattle wins on Thursday, the Cardinals’ only path to survive the week would be to win at Denver AND have the NYG/WSH game end in a tie.

Oddly, in the fifth scenario, a NYG/WSH tie eliminates the Cardinals, but don’t lose any sleep worrying about that, or any of the others for that matter.

Another way to look at this weekend’s games would be the SURVIVAL scenarios. To roll this trainwreck into Week 16 with a mathematical chance for the post-season, the Cardinals only need to beat Denver (or tie Denver and have the NYG/WSH game not end in a tie).
