He started out as tackle and wears #74. They use him primarily as a TE. He has to report eligible in order to come of the line on passing plays or line up in certain formations due to his jersey number.

It's so the defense doesn't see an OL # and then he does something that OL cannot do

That's being generous. There were some measurements while in college which had him at 5-10 1/8, which is why a lot of draft pundits said he was better suited to play in the slot opposed to outside

I mean Revis is 5'11" and he is one of the best cover corners of all time. Most of the best ones are generally between 5'10" and 6'1".

For the most part that held true because smaller guys have better hip movement to react but since the rules are what they are now, the smaller guys are not able to be as physical... with jump balls to offset the height differential

I have seen PP not try too many times. I hope he continues playing like he did the last game.
