Hicks and Vallejo both missed at least two tackles. That's true.

Yet somehow SF only had 39 yards rushing. Wow...
Inexplicably they only ran 11 times. And the rookie was gaining 4.5 yards a carry. As has been the case with multiple teams this year, for some reason they go away from pounding the rock at us early in games when it’s working. No complaints here, just weird.

Because when NFL teams get down 2 or 3 scores they almost all abandon the run every time. It's actually predictable.

But they’re abandoning the run MUCH earlier than that, or at least early enough in a game (like still first quarter) that they don’t need to abandon the run. Hence my comment “early in games.”

True. I would guess that, as in the past, maybe their plan was to burn us with those TE, slant, crossing, RB routes that we used to never be able to stop against them. Use that to soften us up against the run and then ram it down our throats.
