Wow I was going to say the 2 worst picks were Hachiumira and Cam Johnson and then I realized who gets Cam Johnson. On the brightside I think Culver is probably going to be a reach too.

yeah... and if my aunt had a dick, she'd be my uncle.

if I call you a homer here are you going to FTFY and call yourself an optimistic suns fan? it's okay to be objective and just say this pick sucks Steve.

Well, when I "fixed" that comment, I wasn't fixing it for myself. I wasn't one of the fans that thought we could get Sabonis for a player that we had to move and few wanted. But yes, if you use "homer" as an insult, I'd not take that kindly and I still don't understand why it's not considered "name calling" as it surely is at times. And I think I've been very objective, this guy can play but I don't think he has much up-side, he has injury issues and I don't see the fit.

If he was 18 or 19 we could hope for a lot of growth but at 23, I just don't see much room for growth. But I won't start yelling this pick sucks though until I see what we're doing. Right now I'll stick with what I've said several times, I don't like the pick and I don't understand the decision.

Romeo Langford to the Celtics

Crap really hoped he'd slide to the Warriors. He's an Indy kid my guess is Brad has some insight. Had a serious hand injury last year that hurt his shooting.

I think it's a steal. Surprised Porter Jr hasn't gone yet now I'm hoping he slides to the Warriors

Just a casual NBA fan here who came to root for you guys to have a good draft... Doesn't look like anyone is overjoyed. I feel for you.

Maybe the Suns picked Cam because they wanted to save money by not having to give a hat to him.

Johnson is a good shooter he's not horrible but as mentioned he's old for a rookie, not very athletic and quite limited. If you had LeBron in his prime he's a nice role player to knock down open shots, but you don't.

But he's not 19, he was a 5th year senior... and he wasn't as good (overall) as Tatum as a freshman. He only does one thing well, shoot the 3, he couldn't even defend his position in college with way more experience than everyone else.

If you're comparing Cam's play in his 5th year to Tatum's as a freshman, I really don't have a clue how you could say that? Cam was much better IMO he just didn't get as much draft attention because he looks to be pretty much a finished product compared to Tatum who was maybe the youngest kid in his class. To be clear, taking Tatum made sense, taking Cam seems stupid to me and a 5th year really should be much better than one of the youngest guys in the game.

I am listening to analysts coverage. They are saying BEST CASE scenario he ends up a specialist shooter in the NBA. A freaking SF at that. So, we need a starting PG. We need a starting PF.

We trade #6, get Cam Johnson, Saric who can't play a lick of defense and.....ohhhhh frack it.

The only thing Cam Johnson, as a 5th year senior, was better at than Tatum, as a freshman, was shoot the 3. Tatum was a really good defender, he could create his own shot, he could finish in traffic, he was really good on the glass. Cam Johnson is none of those.

It looks like James Jones will not have a press conference.

Evan Sidery‏ @esidery

James Jones will not hold a press conference tonight following their selection of Cam Johnson. League rules permit it due to the Dario Saric inclusion.

I know shooting carries a premium but I don't understand why we didn't trade down again if all we wanted was a mature role player.

are you freaking kidding? Steve your ability to spin gold out of a pile of hay on top of a steaming pile of crap is unrivaled. You really don't have a clue how you could say Tatum was better as a freshman? Let's see, he was 5 years younger, averaged the same amount of points, more rebounds, same assists and was a good shooter... again 5 YEARS YOUNGER.

Yeah... he looks like a finished product, who will make minimal impact on the league. Just because he's reached his ceiling around doesn't mean... ah forget it.

you're right. you're always right when seeing the brightest side of the sun... even during a full on lunar eclipse.

Maybe he should have spent a little more time on the computer during the season...

There are a bunch of these guys who will probably go undrafted this year.

I mostly agree with that but I think we'll use him as a stretch 4. He can't defend either position but he's probably going to get burned less at the 4. I'm still holding out hope that there's a trade or something but I can't think of a team out there that would have asked for him as part of a deal.
