damn..I wish there was some more activity..there a bunch of construction trailers sitting there..but I could not get close enough to see what name was on them...since they were not labeled very well and were well away from the "perini" complex (builder of neighbor coyotes stadium) - I assume they are hunts...but there seems to be very little activity...there is the work on sewer lines on the very edge of the site..but that has been going on for awhile..

anyone who live in the area have better information?

If you go to the Coyotes web site they have a camera that can be moved around. You can keep up with the progress.

Thats how i was able to "watch" the ground-breaking cermony as I listen to the radio (dang i have Qwest digital ;( )

I have heard the end of July for the excavating is to begin.

Mass excavation to start by end of June, concrete in August.

SCOTTSDALE (May 14, 2003) The Board of Directors approved the schematic design package for the new Multipurpose Stadium which leads the way for the mass excavation to begin by the end of June. Excavation will take field level down to 26 feet below the present grade. When completed, the field will lie 39 feet below the main concourse level because 13 feet of berming will be added around the stadium. Concrete work should begin in August. The entire project is scheduled for completion in Summer of 2006.

All I know is that every time I see the Coyotes stadium get bigger and bigger, it only pours salt in the wound when the Cardinals site isnt moving!

Being from out-of-state, I'm a little confused as to which direction the Coyotes' webcam is pointing. Which direction is the Cardinals stadium going to be built? To the left, or to the right?

I can't tell which way I'm looking on that thing.

I think the Camera is north west of the stadium site and is looking to the south west.

I think when viewing from the web cam the Cardinal stadium will be just left of the Coyote arena and to the right of the HUNT trailers.

Looking at this image I think the WebCam is located where that "green hotel" will go in the upper right hand corner.

question...is that little "ranchette" between 91st avenue and the cardinals stadium going to stay? I assume it would be bought and torn down..but since it remains on the rendering and is not labeled surface parking...it makes me believe it will stay...the owner of that property got real lucky from an increase in value standpoint...

I was wondering the same thing. I zoomed in on it last week to check it out . My guess is that the owner has not intention of moving. The only way that property is of value is if they tear down those run down buildings.

friends, I just checked out the TSA website.

If you go to the RH side of their home page & eyeball down to where it says 'upcoming events', there is a board meeting for Monday morning.

I clicked on 'agenda' & I read what the details were for the meeting & it looked pretty good from what I saw regarding a deal with Hunt Construction & as to regards parking, & the city of Glendale's deal with the TSA as well. But you need Acrobat Reader to obtain the document, it is in Adobe format.

madcarddisease:

The structures on the "ranchette" are pretty worthless..but if the site stays like it is and is not part of the stadium...the value of the land would be alot...the tsa or coyotes would probably pay a bunch for it (way more than it was worth before the 2 stadiums showed up) for extra parking..but if not - the land would be worth alot for some retail use (sports bar, etc)..again..way more than it would be worth if the 2 stadiums were not being built right next door..
