All of a sudden, things aren't as rosy as we thought. We play Minny next week in primetime, and probably won't win. Meanwhile, San Fran plays Seattle. I can see the Niners winning, meaning our MNF game @ San Fran is for 1st place in the division.....if my predictions come true.

What the hell is with people slamming this team because they lost a close game? Will Sunday be a tough game? Yes. Are the Vikings really that much better than the Cards? No. They will come out ready to play and will be fine on Sunday. If not they will finish the job at SF. Relax.

No kidding. If we had Warner today, we most likely win easily. Last season we probably lose this game 35-7.

This season's team is much better than last year's team yet so many on here are acting like the season is over and that SF is really the '07 Patriots.

Like Mao said, the only way we lost the division is if Warner can't go.

I got about a million Chiefs fans surrounding me who would trade places in a heartbeat.

It's tough to get too gloomy at 7-4 but I guess if you try you can.

This is life as a competitive NFL team, you actually at times are forced to play some tough teams, and sometimes they come in bunches.

Welcome to the real NFL, it's almost always like this, teams either survive it or they don't, that's why they play the games.

We absolutely win today if Warner played. It might have been by two TD's too.

This turn of events will only make the MNF win over SF even sweeter. Slam the door in their faces!

If we can't win that game, then we don't belong in the playoffs anyway.

Ok that's just over the top.

You don't know that, Warner got smoked against Carolina of all teams.

You could say it's likely he would have I'll give you that much but not that you know he would have.

We will beat the Vikings....

Farve will throw at least 3 picks.

My gut is telling me it will be a Farve meltdown.

If things were reversed -- SF leading the division by two games and about to play the
Vikes, the Cards about to play Seattle -- do you think the 9'er fans would be moaning about the TOUGH SPOT they were in?

Nope.

I understand: The Cardinals have been heart-breakers for years. But it's time that we acknowledged the reality. This is a good team. Barring a meltdown, it wins its division.

Life is good.

Totally agree we need to be able to beat Minny at home and beat SF on the road.

This will be Minnesota's first road game in over a month. Maybe having to travel after all that time will throw them off.

The Vikes beat the Bears in Minny by 26 and we beat the Bears in Chicago by 21. I really dont see how the Vikes are automatically better than us??
They are 10-1, Cardinals are 7-4.
They are scoring 31.1 points/game, the Cardinals 24.3.
They are allowing 18.5 points/game, the Cardinals 19.7.
They have a point differential of +139, the Cardinals +50.
Favre - 25TD/3INt 112.1 rating, Warner - 20TD/11INT 94.4 rating.
Jackson - 124 rating, Leinart - 76
Peterson/Taylor - 1,329 13TD's, Hightower/Wells - 974 10TD's.
Vikings WR trio - 1,972 13TD's, Cardinals - 2,072 14TD's.
Shiancoe - 375 9TD, Becht/Patrick/Spach - 184 1TD.
Vikings defense - 38 sacks, Cardinals - 31
Vikings defense - 9 interceptions, Cardinals - 11
Vikings defense - 17 forced fumbles, Cardinals - 10
Vikings o-line - 22 sacks(5.6%), Cardinals - 18 sacks(4.0%)
Vikings o-line - 4.3 ypa rushing, Cardinals - 4.1

That's a lot of purple. Any given Sunday of course, but on paper they are clearly "better".

I thought the loss to SF was going to motivate them? Or the Carolina loss? And the Indy game was going to show they were "for real"?

Do they really need all of this motivation? I'd be happy if they just won because they were the better team and expected to do so.
