We've likely moved out of the Leinart/Bush Sweepstakes but this is OK

Looking at the balance of the schedule, I can see the possibility of four more W's which would clearly take us out of the running for a top ten pick.......and I can live with this as I hate any sporting organization who tanks a season to improve their chances at a higher draft pick.

It would also mean that we'd lose out on AJ Hawk (Blackstock as an ultimate W/OLB when Huff's contract is over is fine with me); Jimmy Williams (darn it.....we could really use him at FS); D'Brickashaw Ferguson (I still think we are solid at LT with BIG); DeAngelo Williams (JJ will turn out just fine IMO) amoung others.

But it would put us squarely in line for a Marcus McNeill at RT or Haloti Ngata as a runstuffing NT or Max Jean Gillies at OG....players who would represent BPA as well as positions of need.......hell, even Vince Young, should he "come out". Give him a year or so under the watchful eye of Warner and we'd be set at QB.

I am rooting for the 49ers everygame from now on out, except againt us. I really, really, really do not want them to have Reggie Bush. They would be close to a very good team then.

I Would love to get Ngata in the first. He is the mountain we need to anchor our D-line.
And as for the 49ers, the thought of having to face Reggie Bush twice a year sends chills down my spine.

I agree that this might have taken us out of the ranking, but what if Houston has the first pick. We trade 2 #1 picks for either Leinart/Bush and I will still be happy.

This is the first draft that I have thought that we should trade 2 of our 1st round picks for one player.

It alright cause position/skill players like Bush and leinart are useless without an O-Line. We need to address that before anything else
