dtv prices went up so much that I no longer purchase cable and watch hulu/netflix and live TV. Eat it DTV

Big Red when you say Live TV what do you mean? The Roku sounds like a solid plan. I checked it out and it appears that I can get everything I would watch. How do you get network channels like CBS, NBC, etc.

Network channels are free, if you have a flatscreen they usually have a tuner built in and all you need is rabbit ears. A cool thing I didnt know until lately, there are a lot more network channels than in the past. For example PBS has 4 channels (one is useless).

Netflix has its obvious stuff and then hulu for 7 a month it has some more, depends on your tastes. Also, hulu grabs most network shows and has them live within 48 hours of first air sso you dont have to be on the couch at 7pm to catch your favorite network shows.

The antenna fox, cbs and etc HD is clear as a bell, I have a badass $40 antenna in the living room with an amp but in the bedroom I have some piece of crap antenna that works almost as well.

Network shows is what I meant by live tv, fox/cbs football and etc. If you watch bball youll be out of luck but I catch all the cardinal games and thats the only sports I really care about.

Also, with the xbox and cox internet, you can stream espn 3.

If you have a laptop or a computer near your tv you can also hook that in and stream lots of different stuff but I do not do that yet and know little about it.

There is stuff you miss and channels/shows not on netflix or hulu. The crackle and other services available seem 100% useless to me and HBO go is only available to people who subscribe to HBO through cable. Verizon TV is also on the xbox, not sure about roku.

RCA makes a roku type thing, my daughter has it, its 30-40 cheaper but I can tell, I recommend the roku.

The roku that says it comes w angry birds and can play games is no better than the other one. I play games on xbox so could care less but the remote has a feature kinda like a wii where it is motion sensitive. This leads to you falling asleep with the remote in your bed and every time you move it activates the remote which will drain your batteries. I believe the cheaper roku does not have this useless feature.
