First, Steve Keim did the unreal & traded up from #15 to #10 & my jaw dropped! I personally wanted Mayfield followed closely by Rosen. I just knew I would see a curveball & would see Lamar Jackson’s name scroll across the bottom of the screen and I would need a new TV. Our GM did the right thing in taking the most ready passing QB of the 2018 NFL draft.

Second, Keim Time added a polished speed burning, elusive WR in local boy Christian Kirk. My fave was Anthony Miller, but I can’t knock our selection. He’s a Cardinal fan & wanted to be in Arizona.

Third, I took vacation to attend Friday & Saturday’s draft since it’s in my hometown. With no lottery ticket to get inside I took my chances that I would get in & if not there was plenty to do outside. Low & behold while waiting at the gate me & a Skins fan talked for 30mins about our Love & travels to see our teams. He asked if I had a ticket & said no. He told me he had an extra & offered it, which I kindly accepted. As I sat in my seat (level 1) a Cards fan approached me from the pit down by the stage. He asked if I was by myself & said yes. He asked if I wanted to watch from the “inner circle” and I said absolutely as a few tears feel from my watery eyes. All of these friendly diehard Cards fans were season ticket holders that were fortunate enough to be blessed my Michael B & his generosity. I talked too & meet most telling them my story of living in Dallas my whole life & being a fan since ‘74 etc. & it was a lifetime experience just as attending the Super Bowl as well as many other Big Red events. Having Aeneas come over to our section, meeting Commish Goodell, standing within feet of Mel Kiper & McShay will always be things I’ll never forget!!!

I don’t know what I’ve done in this life to experience some of the things I’ve done, but I feel blessed & thankful for each bucket list event!!! Dreams come true my fellow Birdgang members, so let’s treat each other with respect & kindness because you never know when the good Lord will take us. Thanks Bill & Orlando you’re kindness made me reflect & be a better man!!!

Wow Awesome! Great photos and fantastic story!

I applied for the Lotto but didn't get picked either. Was going to head out there with my son. Didn't want to head all the way out there without a guaranteed seat for me and the boy. I'm very jealous of you though!

I heard a rumor it might be in Vegas next year. If it is, then we are going for sure ticket or not.

Two thoughts:
1. Having worked at the Draft in the early seventies, it's amazing in viewing the difference. In my day, I was most impressed with the free food and drink, and the chance to observe Howard Cossell and Dave Anderson, up close.
2. I remember the Cardinals, when they first arrived in Arizona, it was Cowboys territory. And how hard it was to get the Stadium approved. Wondered if the team would ever win acceptance. And now, a generation later, how entrenched they are.

Wow! That’s fantastic.

That Redskin fan seems like a cool guy, too. :)

I left before the Toaster opened and didn't come back to Phoenix for nearly 4 years after. When I came back, I was shocked at how many people had converted to being Cardinals fans. When I look at my Facebook feed during the season, virtually every Phoenician I see pulls for the Cardinals.

I credit Michael Bidwill for his stewardship of the team. His leadership has been the difference after his father bungled things for decades.

Krang, I definitely agree with you about MB. Just a great owner, even though it's in his father's name, but I think of him as the owner. I remember when he had to compete with his brother Bill for the title of President. I'm glad he won out. Mr. B's best decision, imo.
