Rauch was acquired to replace Lyon who won't be re-signed due to DBack philosophy regarding closer salaries.

Haren signed to an extension, is this sending a message to Webb and agent to get on board?


Will Chris Young learn how to hit a curveball and ever use his speed on the base paths like he did last year?

Will the DBacks really let ODog go without a serious attempt to resign him?

I think closers are overrated as it is. what is the difference of someone pitching a perfect 8th rather than 9th or 7th.

If another team's 2,3,4 hitters are up in the 7th rather than the 9th, I would rather have the BEST arm or situational arm, meaning lefty or righty, facing the best hitters. What frame of the game they are in should not matter.

I think right now Rauch has been our best reliever. Lyon has been piss poor lately, Pena is inconsistent, Cruz is inconsistent...

Why don't we have left handed relievers by the way?

Let Lyon walk. The title of CLOSER is overrated.

As far as Webb and Hudson goes... I think they are very necessary. Hudson should be good for about 4 years and Webb for a while.
